Today I had my second orthodontic consultation. The doctor is lovely and kind, and the staff are all wonderful and easy to talk to. Overall, I'm very impressed.

I had an appointment at 10:05 AM, arrived half an hour late, and still haven't been treated. They said the doctor hasn't arrived yet. Why schedule an appointment for 10:05 AM then????

receding, and my deep bite has worsened significantly. Chewing is painful because my teeth are no longer aligning properly. When I told the dentist, she just told me to chew on something blue, saying the stain indicated my teeth were still misaligned. She didn't listen to my concerns or try to fix anything. My chin continues to recede. When I asked what could be done about it affecting my work, my speech becoming unclear, and my lack of confidence, she only said she wouldn't let the receding continue, without adjusting the braces or doing anything. I'm still scheduled for regular rubber band changes. I couldn't take it anymore and went to a new clinic. Every clinic says my case is very difficult and requires a lengthy corrective procedure. They say the dentist shouldn't try to pull my missing teeth closer together and should recommend replacing the missing teeth, something this clinic never mentioned. Now I need to find a clinic that can handle my corrective case because many say jaw surgery is the best solution, which is very expensive. I got braces to fix my dental problems, but now I'm facing the prospect of expensive corrective treatment. This has been a terrible experience.
