This is different from here, where patients arrive first and then undergo a swab test on the spot (THEN THEIR FIRST SEE THE DOCTOR, THE PATIENT IS NOT ASKED ABOUT THEIR SWAB RESULTS AT ALL). So, the Google reviews that claim the doctor is transparent are at odds with the reality. Moreover, after the consultation, the doctor claims he can't cure the root of the problem, but instead offers (upselling) dental vitamins and tartar cleaning. It's like going to a salon for a haircut, but instead you offer hair dye and hair vitamins. The day before, I made an appointment for 5:00 PM (the operator mistakenly remembered it as 4:30 PM, and I clarified it was 5:00 PM). I was told I was an hour late, meaning (according to the doctor) I arrived at 6:00 PM. Then (again, according to the doctor), my consultation lasted an hour, meaning I finished at 7:00 PM. In reality, I was paying the doctor around 6:30 PM (I checked the time because my child was fussy, it was past mealtime), so it's clear who's lying here. The total cost was 400,000 Rupiah, with the following details: -300,000 Rupiah for a 1-hour consultation (the first 5 minutes of the consultation, the doctor suggested a referral to another, more experienced doctor, then it escalated to an hour, and the solution was still to see another doctor. What a waste of time) -50,000 Rupiah for an impromptu antigen test (using a self-swab kit, priced around 2000, commonly found on Shopee) -50,000 Rupiah for a membership card, which wasn't explained during the initial meeting. TL;DR: If you go to this doctor, you as the patient are MANDATORY to ask about the costs upfront before any examination. -How much is the consultation fee? -How much is the tooth extraction fee? -How much is the antigen test fee? -How much does a tartar removal cost? etc. So I won't be surprised when I pay. UPDATE: I finally went to another doctor in Surabaya (Doctor X). After seeing the X-rays, asking about my symptoms, I immediately took action with the help of two nurses (all of whom were fully dressed in PPE). Much more professional!
