I know this could be simplified in a way that saves patient and staff time (because other dentists do so), beginning with any medication needed and receipt drawn up in advance, since most procedures are spelled out with standard pricing that is known for several days. A bill could then be waiting for the patient upon leaving the chair, and a delay only occurs in instances where something unusual happens and it can then be updated, along with the standard medication already bagged and ready to go.
