Extremely unprofessional. My girlfriend had gone in for an appointment to receive a birth control consultation. when one your receptionists gave her the date of her appointment, she remarked “you’ll just have to keep your legs closed until then” which is extremely inappropriate considering she’s getting it to come to AMERICA WHERE I LIVE and our times together are months and months in between. Not only that but birth control has uses beyond intercourse. Please make sure your employees have more than a second grade level of education before they’re hired on to speak to people who may not think your “jokes” are appropriate for a health clinic? Best regards <3

I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received from the receptionist at Papamoa Te Akau Hauora. I have never been spoken to so rudely over the phone before. If someone dislikes their job that much, perhaps it's time to move on - because patients call when they're unwell and deserve to be treated with respect and understanding. Our whanau has been with this clinic for many years, and it's disheartening to feel unheard and dismissed. The lack of manners and empathy shown was unacceptable. Te Manu Toroa has truly lost mana in my eyes because the first person patients speak to should represent care, compassion, and professionalism - not the opposite. The review in my eyes is not even worth one star! Absolutely rude!

Sandra here at Te Manu Toroa helped me through one of the biggest struggles of my life. My whole world flipped upside-down but Sandra was there through the whole thing. She made me see my worth and made me into the woman i am today. She is an amazing wonderful human being with the biggest heart and i truly would not be here today or have achieved what I have without her help over the past couple of years. She still constantly checks up on me to see that im doing well and i couldnt be more grateful to have her in my life.

when phoning most times phones go to voice mail. i spent 40 minutes trying to make a appointment they phoned back the next day didnt even tell me who they were when i answered. they talk way to loud so the entire waiting room can hear your business. ive utilised walk in once i arrived at 12 so first on waiting list somehow my name got bumped off the list i was finally seen a hour and half later. im sick of the drs always leaving. the only good thing about clinic is the price. even now i am considering changing. for a maori service one i have been apart of since the beginning it no longer holds any mana. its a sterile clinic which i think is only about money and not the people.

The reception staff are always friendly and welcoming. We consistently see Dr. Davind Raj—he’s incredibly professional and genuinely listens. Compared to other doctors at the clinic who seem a bit worn out, Dr. Raj stands out with his energy and care. So glad he’s there!
