Seriously worst dentist Iโve ever been to. One hour wait for them to be treated by 2 woman just laughing at each other and then provided me no real assessment

Prague Dental Clinic is a private dental practice located in the historic centre of Prague, Czech Republic, at Zelezna 490/14 in the Old Town district. Positioned as a dental tourism destination from the outset, the clinic combines high-quality clinical services with a welcoming approach to international patients, making it one of Prague's most accessible dental options for visitors from across Europe and beyond. The clinic operates with extended hours from Monday to Friday, 7am to 9pm, ensuring that patients travelling to Prague can schedule appointments that fit around their visit without the constraints typical of standard business-hours practices.
The clinical team is led by Dr. Jiri Straka, who oversees operations, alongside Dr. Milos Straka and Dr. Vojtech Slezacek. Dr. Milos Straka specialises in implants, veneers, crowns, bridges, and both fixed and removable dentures, covering the full range of restorative and prosthodontic treatments. Dr. Vojtech Slezacek brings expertise in dental surgery, periodontics, and implantology, providing specialist-level surgical capability within the same practice. This team structure means patients can receive both restorative and surgical dental care under one roof, reducing the need for referrals and simplifying the treatment journey for visitors who have limited time in the city.
Implant dentistry is a flagship service at Prague Dental Clinic. The practice uses premium implant systems from Straumann and Impladent, both well-regarded brands with extensive clinical track records. Straumann in particular is one of the most widely researched implant systems in the world, known for its surface technology and high long-term survival rates. Whether patients require a single-tooth implant, multiple implants, or implant-supported prosthetics such as bridges or overdentures, the clinic's experienced implantology team provides comprehensive planning and treatment from initial assessment through to final restoration.
Cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry is a core part of the clinic's offering, reflecting the expectations of its international patient base. Veneers are available for patients seeking a transformative improvement in tooth shape, colour, and proportion, delivering a smile makeover result with precise, custom-fabricated ceramic shells. Professional teeth whitening provides a faster, more dramatic brightening effect than over-the-counter alternatives, using clinical-grade systems for safe and consistent results. These cosmetic services are frequently combined with restorative work as part of comprehensive smile redesign plans.
Restorative dentistry at Prague Dental Clinic covers the full range of solutions for damaged and missing teeth. Crowns and bridges are custom-fabricated to restore individual teeth and span gaps left by missing teeth, using durable materials that provide natural-looking results. Root canal treatment allows teeth with infected or damaged pulp to be preserved rather than extracted, relieving pain and maintaining the natural tooth structure. Orthodontic treatment including braces is available for patients requiring alignment correction as part of a broader treatment plan.
Periodontic services address gum disease and the supporting structures of the teeth, which are foundational to the long-term success of any restorative work. Dr. Slezacek's specialist periodontic capability means the clinic can manage a full range of conditions from early gingivitis to more advanced periodontitis, providing thorough non-surgical and surgical treatment as required. Dental surgery, including complex extractions and pre-implant bone work, is also within his remit, ensuring that patients requiring preparatory surgical procedures do not need to be referred elsewhere.
Sedation dentistry is offered for patients who experience significant dental anxiety or who require more extensive treatment that benefits from a relaxed patient state. Sedation allows procedures to be performed comfortably with the patient deeply relaxed, and is particularly valued by international patients who may be visiting for multiple treatments in a compressed timeframe. Paediatric dentistry is available for families travelling with children, and the clinic accommodates patients of all ages within its general service scope.
Strict adherence to international sterilisation standards is a stated priority of the clinic, and all procedures are performed with protocols that meet or exceed European regulatory requirements. This is a meaningful assurance for international patients who may have concerns about hygiene and infection control standards when receiving treatment abroad. The clinical environment is designed to professional standards throughout.
For overseas patients, Prague Dental Clinic provides active assistance in arranging nearby hotel accommodation, removing a key logistical barrier for those travelling specifically for dental treatment. This coordination support, combined with the clinic's English-friendly communication and extended hours, makes the practical aspects of dental tourism to Prague straightforward and well-supported. Prague itself offers excellent flight connections from most European capitals and a rich cultural experience for patients and companions.
Located at Zelezna 490/14 in Prague's Old Town, the clinic is situated in one of the most accessible and well-known parts of the city, close to major landmarks and transport connections. Whether patients are visiting Prague as a dedicated dental trip or combining treatment with a broader trip, the central location makes the clinic easy to reach from hotels across the city.
For international patients seeking a reliable, specialist-equipped private dental clinic in Prague with proven experience serving overseas visitors, Prague Dental Clinic offers a compelling combination of clinical depth, premium implant brands, cosmetic expertise, and genuine patient coordination support.

So to sum it up. I've been going since 2017 (I'm attaching an old photo as proof). At first, the service was great and everything worked. The last year and a half, absolutely appalling attitude. The first thing they suggested to my girlfriend was to pull out the tooth and put in an artificial one (it wasn't completely wrong, but since she's very young, maximum effort should be made to preserve the existing teeth). However, we switched to a specialized clinic where the tooth was eventually saved. In my experience, it sometimes takes up to 2 weeks to get there. I had an appointment at the end of August, but it was canceled. When I wanted to make another appointment with the doctor who did one part of my procedure sometime in April, the nurse started yelling at me on the phone that they were in emergency mode and only had one doctor. Apparently this doctor is no longer there, what did the procedure on me in March/April 2025. I couldn't take it anymore and after a few months of solutions and calls, I started swearing on the phone and words started flying.. That's the end of my experience with this office. Regardless of the fact that we had an appointment for a Saturday in March for some time and they called us a few days in advance to see if it couldn't be done earlier, that they wanted to go home earlier, etc.. What's too much is too much. One or two things can be understood, but if almost nothing works, I really don't recommend it. Unfortunately, after 8 years, I'm going elsewhere.

My daughter and I have been clients of the clinic for several years, and we were both satisfied. Unfortunately, the care has deteriorated recently, they have repeatedly not performed the procedures we ordered with excuses, and the prices have only risen to astronomical heights. The last time was on Saturday, October 12, when my daughter was scheduled for a tooth extraction 3 months ago, the doctor refused the procedure on the spot and sent us to a dental surgeon. When I requested at least a cavity repair, they reluctantly and with talk did it, but charged 4300 CZK for a filling???? Unbelievable, so I'm sorry, but never again. I do not recommend this clinic to anyone.

For many years I have been regularly going for preventive check-ups and having undergone some procedure here and there. Everything was perfect, meaningful, painless and justified. After removing the braces (treatment by another doctor), I had no cavities or other serious problems for several years. On 01/24, another regular preventive check-up took place and I couldn't help but be surprised. The check-up was performed by another doctor (no one informed me in advance), after a few minutes and X-rays I heard the verdict: 4 cavities, dirty, neglected teeth. I was totally derailed and confused... No cavities for several years and six months after the last visit, 4??? The doctor started counting what it would cost me... She came to several tens of thousands. I was shocked and didn't understand how this was possible. I couldn't accept it and after 3 weeks I visited another clinic where they praised my dental care and found one minor cavity. Thank you for the great care so far, but no one will see me here anymore.

Enquired via email initially about cleaning, bonding, braces and a bridge too. (Myself and partner). Received a callback requesting we come in for dental hygiene clean prior to discussing anything else. My teeth hadnโt been cleaned in years, so had two hours with the dental hygienist who was excellent, however I paid 3,000CZH and my partner was charged 1,600czh for 30 minutes. Canโt fault the work, but the pricing doesnโt match their website. We also found out after that they donโt do any other work weโd initially enquired about! overpriced based on weโre not local and their prices definitely donโt match their website. Plenty of other good dentist around and wouldnโt recommend this dentist clinic.

It was 5 years ago, my favorite dentist. The waiting room was very classy, โโwe always received coffee while waiting, the staff was professional, and the dentists were top-notch. I had my implant done there. Then came COVID, and after that, they were never reachable. Two months ago, I broke a tooth and experienced unbearable pain. The first available appointment was 5 weeks ago... (a 3-week wait for a broken tooth that bleeds and hurts despite painkillers). Not to mention that I live in Pilsen and always have to take a 1 hour 50 minute train ride before each appointment. Anyway, I finally arrived at the dentist's office after weeks of pain... we were greeted casually and left to wander aimlessly towards the bare waiting room... just four plastic chairs... no coffee or water... we were left there to wait for an hour before being told that our teeth were in terrible condition and that they were going to run scans (which had already been done five years ago...) and that the scans were still in the system... and that, as a result, this time it wasn't possible to treat my tooth because first they had to take care of my dental hygiene and blah blah blah, extract my wisdom teeth (5000 CZK each) and fill the cavities (3000 CZK each), etc., etc... In short, I was made to come for nothing. I was furious, I can tell you that much. Today I finally got an appointment with a dentist in Plzen who's finally accepting new patients, and he told me I have beautiful, healthy teeth, no cavities, just a few pockets and my broken tooth, which he repaired immediately. He didn't mention pulling any teeth or anything. So Prague Dental Clinic has lost me. What made me change my mind was first and foremost the lack of professionalism, but especially their blatant disregard for my role: walking wallet. If their goal is to tell you outlandish stories about the state of your teeth to squeeze money out of you by insulting you quite a bit, forgetting appointments, being unpleasant and late, and making you come in for nothing, then it's a 10/10, bravo. What I look for in a dentist is my health and well-being. Here, that no longer exists. So, too bad. In Plzen, I now have a new private clinic, where I no longer have to travel for two hours and where professionalism is paramount. There you have it. And my tooth was finally repaired and not extracted, and I have beautiful teeth.

Best in Prague! They were so helpful and polite. Accommodated our minor travel emergency and helped us get back to enjoying our vacation! Friendly staff and super fast service. Very professional, clean, and updated office as well. Got dental x rays and were able to get them emailed over so our dentist can have them on file. Thank you!
