Here are some tips: From the moment fixed braces are fitted, the patient should no longer use their front teeth to cut food, such as: apples, carrots, more substantial sandwiches, meats, candies, etc. Avoid sticky foods (chewing gum, gummy candies, caramel, etc.) or hard foods (peanut brittle, hard candy, peanuts, chestnuts, walnuts, popcorn, etc.).
