lacked the time or the financial means. Years later, when I was finally ready both in terms of time and money, my gum problems had progressed significantly. Almost every clinic I went to told me the same thing: braces were no longer possible, all my teeth would fall out. I was so upset because my teeth were healthy; I didn't even have cavities, only my gums were diseased. But the only solution offered was always losing my teeth. Finally, a dentist told me that I and my spouse, who had the same problem, absolutely had to see Professor Nejat Nizam, a periodontist. We immediately made an appointment. Professor Nejat examined us very thoroughly, clearly explaining what was possible and what wasn't. For the first time, I saw a realistic yet hopeful approach. In the end, only two teeth were extracted, and those were... My teeth were already the worst in my mouth, but all my other teeth were saved thanks to periodontal treatment. My gums went from bleeding, red to healthy, pink, and vibrant. My gums, which used to bleed even when I spoke, are now in really good condition. My bad breath is completely gone. My teeth, which they said could never have braces, were fitted by Dr. Ege Türk. He is an extremely meticulous, caring, and trustworthy doctor. My treatment is progressing very well. You can easily ask anything you're curious about; they never brush you off, and they never say a single word that would discourage you. Furthermore, the clinic is technologically very well-equipped; even procedures that would normally be very painful can be done much more comfortably. From the first phone call, the smiling face, patience, and attentiveness of Ms. Sevilay made you feel like you were in the right place from the moment you arrived. The assistants, Buse, Gülten, and Zerda, are also incredibly caring, warm, and very good at their jobs. I can confidently say that simply extracting all the gums and doing implants is not the right solution for every gum problem. You should always consult a periodontist first. In Izmir, and even in Turkey, I can say that Dr. Nejat Nizam is truly the only doctor in this field, not just in Izmir but throughout Turkey. Patients travel for hours from all over the world to see him for examination; they know something. My only advice to anyone experiencing gum problems is: don't waste time, definitely see Dr. Nejat. You can entrust yourself to him with peace of mind. We need to appreciate doctors like him. Thank you for being there.

About six months ago, I went to Professor Nejat's clinic in Bornova, İzmir. I explained everything I had been through and what I had been told. After a detailed examination, he said that the situation wasn't as hopeless as I had been told, and that with the right treatment and proper brushing techniques, the problem could be solved with minimal tooth loss. For the first time, I truly felt relieved. Six months have passed, and I've only lost three teeth in total, but most importantly, my gum recession has stopped, my bad breath has completely disappeared, and my gums look youthful again. My mouth has regained its pink, vibrant, and healthy appearance, just like it did in my younger years; it's as if it's come back to life. Reaching this point is entirely thanks to Professor Nejat's knowledge, dedication, and meticulous work. I especially want to emphasize that saying "let's extract all my teeth and do implants" is not the solution. It's absolutely necessary to consult a periodontist first. In Izmir, and even in Türkiye, Professor Nejat Nizam is truly one of the few and rare doctors in this field. I went from being told I would have 32 teeth extracted and implanted to today having largely preserved my teeth. I wholeheartedly recommend that anyone experiencing gum problems like mine consult Professor Nejat before making a decision. I thank him very much for his efforts and for giving me renewed hope.
