From that moment on, symptoms characteristic of communication with the maxillary sinus appeared. The next day, I went to the clinic again with these symptoms. Doctor Rahim was on duty that day. After listening to my story, the first question he asked me was: “Why did you do the blow-out?” It was from him that I learned that such a test cannot be done in the postoperative period. After 9 days, the stitches were removed. At this visit, doctor Vladislav reported that all 4 wells were dry and asked if I had taken the antibiotic for 10 days. I replied that I had taken it for 8 days, as the doctor himself had prescribed in the written recommendations, which surprised him. After that, the clots were “washed” into the wells again. After the manipulations, it became obvious that the doctor did not have a clear plan for further actions: for about 10 minutes he silently searched for something on the phone, and the recommendations looked inconsistent and symptomatic. In particular: - the prescription of Clindamycin for 10 days, which was later canceled by another doctor. - using Avamys spray to "not infect" the sinus, although at that time it was already infected due to the existing connection. The final signal for me was the following points: 1. A significantly extended course of antibiotics without a clear justification. 2. The next control was appointed only after 7 days, despite dry sockets and perforation. 3. Recommendation to rinse the mouth with herbal infusions, not medical antiseptics. 4. In case of non-healing - a proposal for a second operation with re-suturing of all 4 sockets 5. Part of the medical documentation regarding the operation was missing, namely the picture taken by the doctor during the operation. The next day I was forced to urgently contact another clinic. During the initial examination, it was found that all four sockets were empty, with inflammation, the tissues around them were torn, and against the background of perforation, the first signs of sinusitis were already beginning. When I informed the clinic about canceling my follow-up visit and transferring to another location for treatment, no one contacted me to find out the reasons or try to resolve the situation. I also find it important to note that it was only almost 3 months after the initial surgery that the clinic management contacted me. A meeting was initiated during which the clinic representatives tried to understand the situation, apologized for my experience, and verbally stated that they were ready to fully compensate 100% of the costs I incurred for further treatment at another clinic. However, after I provided an invoice with confirmation of the costs, the clinic returned with written feedback, in which it noted that there were no protocol errors in the actions of the doctor and staff, and all the consequences were called “complications”. As a result of this decision, the clinic stated that it was ready to compensate only 50% of the costs, and not 100%, as previously stated during the personal meeting. The result: months of treatment, repeated surgeries to close the perforation, a long period during which I could not chew normally and ate only liquid or semi-liquid food, as well as severe physical and moral stress.
