n emergency. He left resin on my teeth from the treatment and told me he would take care of everything on my next appointment, the following Monday as I had seen him on a Friday. When I went to brush my teeth later that night, I realized that he made my problem worse as I had nerve pain when I brushed instead of sensitivity. When I returned for him to do the work he failed to do the first time, he did a very fast cleaning job (maybe 25 minutes), said I didn't have any cavities and didn't need xrays. He applied a brownish-yellow paste to my teeth and put a transparent film over the paste and told me to go about my day. I reminded him of the resin and he said not to worry about it. When I went to brush my teth later, I was back to sensitivity but my teeth were horribly discolored. I sent a photo to dentist #1 and he assured me the discoloration would fade away after a week or so. Last night before going to bed, I noticed that my gums had gotten red which they hadn't been before. So this morning, I contacted 4 offices on WhatsApp when they opened and gave them a brief account of what happened and asked for a second opinion as I was going home to the States on Monday night. I heard back almost from him within minutes and I had an appointment within the hour. Dr. Arias noted the start of two small cavities immediately. He told me the discoloration was permanent because the other dentist used a dark colored bonding agent before applying a transparent film over the teeth (the second botched treatment performed by the other dentist). He did a very thorough cleaning, treated the area where the little cavities had started, and was able to diminish the spots on my teeth considerably. He took the time necessary to treat me properly (about 2 hours). He sent me for xrays to a nearby office to ensure that I didn't have any other cavities that the eye didn't catch. He charged me $186.00 US which is a very fair price considering all the work he did. The xrays were an additional charge at another office but they saw me within 15 minutes of my arrival and I think it was around $10.00 US for the xrays. I wish I had never gone to dentist #1 but at least I found Dr. Arias who did a great job. I have piece of mind going back to the US after having seen him. Everyone was professional, efficient and kind. Thank you all so much!

Went for a consultation and didn't want to hand over my passport details, which they said was required (lie). You don't need to hand over personal identification data to anyone for a dentist cleaning. Rude, disappointing and a total waste of time.

I had a tooth that came loose and the assistant (who I thought was a doctor) saw me with very short notice and I thought she did an excellent job re-attaching it. DO NOT fill out the review that they pressure you for until you are certain that the work was done correctly. became very defensive and rude, blaming my oral hygiene and wanting to charge me again but saying that it was only going to come loose again. I refused the services and returned to the USA where my dentist spent the proper amount of time and re-attached the tooth correctly without insulting me and my oral hygiene (which I am sure is better than average since I floss, use an oral water pic and brush twice daily). Do NOT come here for dental work, especially if you are American.

I live in Las Vegas and was traveling to Medellin. I had heard that Medellin is known for Dental Tourism and I needed to get a root canal. The cost in the US for this root canal was to be $1200 without insurance. I contacted Dr Arias office via WhatsApp and the communication prior to arrival was excellent. Dr Juan Camilo Sepulveda performed the root canal and I was amazed at how smoothly this went. I am terrified of pain and there was virtually no pain during the procedure. Even better, the next morning when I woke up, there was NO pain other than my jaw a bit tired for my mouth being open for so long :) Anyway, I would definitely recommend Dr Mauricio Arias and his office staff and doctors for your dental needs!
