that the X-ray was digital and that I would wear a protective suit so there was nothing to worry about. The X-ray showed that my wisdom tooth was trying to erupt, and the last upper left tooth had cavities. The wisdom tooth required surgery, while the other needed extraction. These two issues explained the pain I was experiencing. I asked if I needed to see a specialist (as I was considering PPUM or a government clinic), but Dr. Farhana said she could handle the case. Since I was already in pain, I agreed to set an appointment. Two weeks later, my appointment day arrived. I made sure to eat beforehand, knowing the pain would be bad once the anesthesia wore off. I’ve always hated dental procedures, but I knew this one had to be done. Everything started fine, and I was told the procedure would take about an hour, starting at 1:30 p.m. After an hour, I was told my wisdom tooth was 80% loosened but difficult to remove. Throughout the session, Dr. Farhana said things like, “Dah longgar ni tapi taktau kenapa susah sangat nak cabut.” She tried every tool available, and I could feel pain along my mouth wall and lips as she struggled to extract the tooth. I broke down in the middle of the procedure, feeling hopeless. By 4:30 p.m., she was still trying. Eventually, she said, “Sebab xray kita 2D so kita tak nampak condition akar gigi.” At that point, I reached my limit and told her, “That’s it, please stop. Saya dah taknak.” She administered more anesthesia and stitched up the area. I was shaken and traumatized, having endured three hours in the dental chair only to be told the surgery was unsuccessful. Mind you, my wisdom tooth now is loosened and closed under stitches. Dr. Farhana explained that after the stitches are removed, I’ll need another review in six to twelve months to reassess the wisdom tooth. She then proceeded to extract my upper left tooth, which took only ten minutes. When I left the clinic, the clock showed nearly 5:00 p.m. It was the most traumatizing experience I’ve ever had. Now that I’m home, many questions linger in my mind: Why did she proceed with the procedure without fully understanding the condition of my tooth? So she proceeded with the procedure without reviewing the tooth root? After two hours, she kept saying things like, “Kenapa la tak nak keluar. Geramnya saya.” Shouldn’t there have been a mitigation plan for such situations? Why did she wait for me to make the call to stop after three hours? I plan to raise all these questions during my next appointment. For now, I want to leave a Google review to share that I had a traumatising and bad experience at Anne Dental. My last and final visit will only be to remove the stitches. I also hate to mention that when i arrived home and wanting to take the painkiller, i texted the clinic just to double confirm all meds are pregnant safe. Was told i shouldnt take Celebrex and others are just fine. Why did they prescribe it to me knowing i am pregnant? They proceeded with the refund of Celebrex anyway and said sorry. 😭

The dentist has been incredibly kind and gentle with my daughter. This was my first visit to the clinic for a filling and wisdom tooth extraction. The doctor was very careful, and I didn’t feel much pain during the procedure. Even after a few hours, there was only slight discomfort. I truly appreciate the doctor’s gentle and professional care.
