However, because you are a Chinese national who does not speak English and were alone without an interpreter, there may have been a language barrier. You wanted a filling for a tooth with decay that had reached the nerve and could not be repaired with a simple filling; root canal treatment would be necessary. You stated that you would like to think about it first. Fortunately, Dr. Jessie, who speaks Chinese, was present. She explained the results of your physical examination, oral examination, and all possible treatment options. She also suggested that you have other cavities filled today to avoid the examination fee. You stated that you would not have any procedures or X-rays that day and would like to think about it first. The time you spent in the examination room, speaking with two doctors—one examining and the other interpreting—including the use of examination equipment, totaled at least 15 minutes. All of this cost 300 baht. Whether that's expensive is up to you to decide. Thank you for taking the time to write a review. While examinations and X-rays might be free in China, we provide care to the highest Thai medical standards for all cases.
