What a wonderful experience I’ve had as a patient at Grafton Dental. Jazmin is warm, friendly which made every visit more comfortable. Dr. Linda and Megan are fantastic—gentle, kind, and genuinely caring in their approach. I felt at ease and well looked after throughout my treatment, right through to my final appointment. Grafton Dental truly has an amazing team!

Dr V and the team at Grafton Dental are always amazing. The staff are friendly, professional, and make you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. The care is high quality and the pricing is fair, which is hard to find. I’ve consistently had great experiences and wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Was a patient of this clinic for several years until my last experience with Dr V completely changed my view. Prior to the appointment, I discussed my issue on the phone and was given an estimate. I was also explicitly told that if, after a physical examination, the procedure turned out to be more complex and more expensive, I would be given an option to either proceed or not. On the day, I was quoted more than double to what I was quoted on the phone, which I found excessive and said “no” straight away. Despite this, there was a sense of pressure from Dr V to proceed. As I later found out, this quote was seven!!! times higher than what I eventually paid elsewhere for the exact same procedure (in a comparable clinic). Even more frustrating, I was charged a consultation fee of $69 for about 3 minutes of the doctor’s time, a fee that I was never clearly made aware of beforehand, and which ended up costing more than the actual procedure that I completed elsewhere. I tried to raise a concern via email afterwards about the unfair consultation fee, only to be told that I should have read the rules on the website regarding the consultation fees before booking. What a joke! At no point was it clearly communicated that simply declining to proceed would still result in being charged a consultation fee. Very disappointing experience and a complete lack of transparency; definitely will not be coming back ever again. Lastly, I would strongly advise existing and prospective clients to seek alternative quotes before committing to any procedures.

Dr. V and his team are truly outstanding. My crown was damaged and required repair, and Dr. V examined it carefully and professionally. He patiently explained the treatment options and made sure I understood everything. He also provided a temporary repair with a filling, and the tooth now looks perfect—as if it had never been damaged. On top of that, he kindly helped me apply for ACC, which was a huge help. I’m very grateful for his care and support. If you have any dental issues, I highly recommend visiting Grafton Dental first. Excellent service and a wonderful team.

I was a patient at this Auckland practice for approximately five years. Overall, the physical clinic space was relatively clean, and modern. I want to be clear that I had no issue with the actual dental treatment provided. However, my two star rating is entirely due to my repeated, unsettling experiences with the owner, Doctor V. I am usually reluctant to write negative reviews, and I initially hesitated to post this, feeling that perhaps the communication issues were just a personal matter where I didn't 'gel' well with Doctor V, but when I casually mentioned my reason for finding a different clinic at work recently, several current and former patients among my colleagues instantly agreed with what I was saying. They said that they felt communication and sincerity were lacking, but that they often tolerated it because the clinic is conveniently located. While his dentistry was competent and he did an excellent job of communicating costs upfront so there were never any financial surprises, his behavior and patient communication were deeply unsettling. I found Doctor V to lack basic sincerity and genuine engagement. When I attempted to discuss a dental issue, I was frequently cut off. He would interject and speak over me after only a few words, leaving me feeling unheard and certain that he was not truly listening to or registering my concerns. This pattern of interjecting left the distinct impression that he simply did not give a meaningful damn about the patient's perspective. This communication issue was pervasive. Even when he manned the reception desk on occasion and asked a simple question, I found that his responses were really odd and extremely insincere, especially since he would ask a question and then he would often interrupt with a repeated, generic phrase like "Okay, awesome, cool" before I could even reply properly (around 5 seconds after he would ask the question!). This is not even an exaggeration unfortunately. I had this happen to me so consistently that I genuinely felt he would have responded with his automated 'okay cool' even to a sad piece of news. And then on days when he was maybe running late, the tension and passive aggression in the room was palpable, and every staff member he had working with him seemed to be petrified. It was horrible to witness. On one occasion I was called by him to say that he was ill and had to reschedule my appointment, which I was absolutely fine with. When l saw him the next time for my appointment, he must have forgotten that he had called me previously because he casually mentioned being away/ on holiday on the day that he was meant to be ill. I understand white lies like this may be harmless but when I thought about all the other insincerities in behaviour, I was really put off. These behaviours were the reason I chose to leave the clinic. I felt strongly that if I were then to have any issues with the work done down the line, he would react dishonestly instead of prioritizing my best interests and addressing the concern honestly. I felt Doctor V lacked genuine patient care and had severe issues with patient communication, bedside manner, and sincerity. If you are a patient who values sincere, thoughtful, and uninterrupted conversation with your clinician, I would advise you to look elsewhere.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dr Parham Yazdani at Grafton Dental provided me with first-class care. The entire practice is very modern and equipped with the latest technology. I was particularly impressed by their use of an AI programme to record our consultation — it felt very progressive and interesting. Beyond the technology, I always found the conversations with Dr Yazdani pleasant and friendly, which made the experience much more comfortable. Nobody enjoys going to the dentist, but I would absolutely come back to Grafton Dental if I ever needed to. Highly recommended!

Great first-time patient experience - excellent team. I was rushing in late, super stressed and upset. Everyone was so kind and calming and I truly appreciated it. Thank you for being so chill, B! And for setting me up with an appointment so quickly after I called. Dr Linda took her time with me, explaining everything clearly as she went, outlining what she was doing and letting me know what treatment was needed and why in a calm and straightforward manner. Megan assisting her was friendly and put me at ease. Hygienist Anna was diligent and I loved how she explained what she was doing at each stage, consent-checking frequently. That really impressed me. She passed no judgment on the longer-than-usual accrual of coffee stains and between everyone, I left feeling heartened in my commitment to my tooth-care. Thanks everyone!
