Gladstone Hospital

Nothing but praise for the wonderful A&E staff at the Gladstone hospital, we had a medical emergency and once we presented to reception at A&E we were fast tracked, all actions stations with all the nursing staff, a series of blood test and x-rays then transferred from the Acute area to be admitted to Short stay. Thanks to all the staff involved, you are amazing.

The Nurses are the only best thing in. This hospital I had my appendices out 2 days later I was back with infections I go to mental health talk to professional going through a hard time all of a sudden my so professional is telling the person that I have the problem with do not trust Gladstone Hospital not medical or Mental

Even though the medical and nursing staff were exceptional apart from the giggling girls club mentality of the nursing staff and there disrespectful treatment of patients rest at night the administration was completely disgusting in its treatment of patients leaving a 65 year old patient to find there own way home half dressed after a collasped lung in 31° temperature with looming storms in the area. Absolutely disgusted in how administration showed themselves to be heartless money hungry souls.

Wouldnt transfer friend with cancer to better hospital for 2 weeks. Had to check himself out and drive himself 500km for cancer treatment where he died shortly after arriving to hospital. RIP Will Spiteri

I took my daughter to Gladstone Hospital multiple times over the past month with ongoing fevers. On Sunday, she had an ear infection and had been running a fever for four days. Two doctors looked in her ears and said they could not see any infection and that the fevers were viral, so she was discharged. We returned on Tuesday with the same issue, and again nothing was done. In total, we visited the hospital four times in a month. She is now seeing an ENT in Brisbane, and it turns out she has a middle ear infection full of fluid. Extremely disappointed with the care and attention she received.

Absolutely horrible I dont even know its still open, went in there a month or more ago for a my swollen up finger that was blown up for more then 8 weeks anyway, go in there for a xray sit in there for 2hrs waiting get my xray they tell me theres nothing broken or wrong with my finger and that its just sprained and would heal in a couple weeks, another 2 months later it was still in pain till 5 mins ago when I just grabbed it and pulled and it popped back into place no more pain or swollen, fancy that a hospital cant even pick up when somethings out of place so you have to fix it yourself 🚮

We went to the ER yesterday, my wife had serious stomach pain and temperatures, the nurses and doctors were extremely professional and efficient. Despite it being a very busy night Dr. Pradeep organised blood tests and scans and diagnosed her with acute appendicitis within hours of arriving and scheduled an urgent surgery for the next day. She was very well taken care of in the emergency ward, even mentioning that the cannula, put in by nurse Annie, had been the most painless in her experience. Tamie took over from Annie and did an amazing job taking care of, and reassuring us. I cannot speak to the experience at the surgery not having been there, however my wife was very well taken care of as was evident by the little kindnesses shown her. The ward nurses did an amazing job of keeping us comfortable while we waited for the surgery and during post op. Well done to the GH team! (Ps. I apologise if I misspelled names).

Today 01.08.25 I was scheduled for a small procedure. In the day surgery unit. Could not fault the service of the staff and doctors that couldn't do enough for me. They were very compassionate for my condition. I would have no issues recommending GPH for any medical concerns. Well done team . Very happy with the overall process from start to finish.. Keep up the great work you do .5 STAR ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

First trip to these doctors here deadset jokes had to wait for 2-.6 to even be looked at. Could deal with the pain and I will before I come back here this is one of the worst if not worst hospital is an Australia. Would drive to rocky even know it 1hr drive be better than waiting 2-6 to be seen when their are 15 nurses plus doctors walking around.very rude staff.after I was seen the girl that looked after me starting to share information making jokes about what I have said to her work mates made me very uncomfortable.
