s when he had already performed the surgery. He didn't take into account whether I had metal allergies or give me the opportunity to choose. I felt completely violated and cheated. During the surgery, he was abrupt in his manner and even took a cell phone call in the middle of the surgery. Despite the seriousness of the situation, I decided to complete the process with him, returning four months later for the placement of the final crown. However, upon returning, there seemed to be problems with the implant, so he performed a sort of “mini surgery” on my gums to try to fix it, leaving me battered and swollen and bleeding gums. Despite this, he attempted to take impressions for the final crown that same day, when my gums were completely traumatized, but he insisted more than 4 or five times more to complete the impressions, leaving my gums increasingly damaged. An hour after leaving his clinic, the temporary crown he placed on me was completely loose and about to fall off. I contacted their team, but their response was that “it was not a serious problem” and that I should wait almost a week until my next appointment. I couldn't believe the lack of professionalism and concern for the patient. It was at that moment when I decided to look for another specialist. If I had allowed him to go ahead with the procedure under those conditions, my permanent crowns would have looked horrible. Because I sought out another specialist, who truly cared about my well-being, I had to wait almost a month for my gums to heal from the trauma caused by Iván Lindo so that the impressions could be taken correctly. This just shows how little he cares about the health of his patients and his lack of professional ethics. Fortunately, I found a true professional who took care of me immediately. Upon examining my situation, just by touching the temporary crown with his fingers, it came off completely, demonstrating the terrible job they had done for me. I have photos that show Dr. Lindo's unacceptable work. To make matters worse, when I finally received my medical records, I noticed that Dr. Lindo falsified information in the documents, omitting key details and avoiding any type of responsibility for what happened. Furthermore, when it came to demanding my money back, they only wanted to refund me a minimum amount. I had to fight for my refund, and even then, he only gave me back a very small portion of what he actually owes me. I firmly believe that he still owes me a considerable amount, but right now I don't have the mental energy to continue fighting about it. However, that doesn't mean I don't reserve the right to demand it in the future. The reality is that this doctor deserves to be denounced and sued, but at this moment my priority is to warn others so that they do not go through the same thing. I do not write this out of bitterness, but as a sincere warning to anyone considering treatment with Dr. Iván Lindo. He is not a doctor who cares about his patients, he is only interested in money, and once he gets it, his treatment changes completely. No one deserves to go through the traumatic experience that I went through. Look for a professional who truly respects and values his patients.

After the process was carried out in November 2024, where the change of implant material was explained and approved, she returned four months later for the restoration with an absolutely successful implant result and no comments on the matter. A change occurred in the patient associated with the loosening of the provisional tooth, which has that name because it is a temporary element and which must be adhered with temporary materials that can sometimes loosen and even dislodge, without being something serious and much less malpractice. Some patients come with the impression that the treatment will be done as they have decided according to the criteria they have formed through the web, searching for a type of material on the implant, either zirconium or titanium, where it seems that many interests in the networks and search engines put zirconium above titanium, speaking of strengths and advantages without a biological reality, where experience and evidence prevail. I perform many zirconium implants, but with the limitations of the material and this good system, sometimes, like in this particular case, the patient's clinical circumstances far exceed the characteristics of the zirconium implant. If the root of the compromised tooth is longer than the zirconium implant, in addition to unfavorable anatomy, every possible means was attempted to place the implant. As was shown to the patient during the procedure, an implant that could not be fixed and offer predictability to the treatment. Insisting on what was NOT possible would be foolish. An option must be sought to fully achieve the objective. This is inherent in taking advantage of the event and achieving favorable aesthetics. Whenever this occurs, and especially in this case, it is explained to the patient and a concerted decision is made to move forward with the process under the expertise of a professional. We know from countless studies that the chances of titanium causing allergies are remote, which is why in orthopedic medicine and other specialties it is the material of first choice. In addition, in the event of an allergy, the implant would not have been integrated, as it did in this case. In many cases, with the aim of improving the contours of the definitive crowns, we perform surgery with an electroscalpel to improve aesthetics. This method, by NOT using a scalpel, is minimally traumatic, which is why it is indicated because it produces little bleeding. However, some blood may still occur. The impressions referred to were two (2), one for the new provisional crowns that would replace the current ones, and another for the sketch of the PMMA crowns, a material used to model the crowns and which allows for changes. The provisional implant came loose without major consequences, and at the patient's insistence, she was asked to return promptly, but she never returned. I looked for another professional and requested the money for the difference in cost between the titanium implant and the zirconium, which was returned without being able to see the patient to keep an administrative record. The transfer was made under her threatening demands, and it is to this day that she has appeared trying to damage my image with a comment that is untrue. It all started because the temporary crown came loose, a situation that often occurs in the hands of any colleague. The crowns that were placed early are in my office, a value I assumed was lost, since the patient could never be spoken to again except through text messages via WhatsApp. In short, I will continue working hard for my patients and my profession, conscious that not everyone who comes to me understands that dentists must follow our own criteria above a patient's demands. So much so that a different professional was able to restore her without major inconvenience, especially without knowing the initial circumstances of her treatment.
