I was initially happy with Dental Joy until I wasn't. Her implants failed and her after care was.. Oh well I've got your $34,000 and I don't care now.

Extremely disappointing. Expensive crown (cost: $1500aud) fell out after 3 weeks. My father recently went to Dr Joy’s clinic to have a crown amongst other things done. Yesterday eating a vitamin gummy, the crown fell out. When he contact the clinic for a resolution he was told ‘too bad you signed a waiver’ and you need to come back to have it fixed. n Australia. What’s the most disappointing is that our entire family (plus extended family and friends) has had services there from our recommendation. We simply asked for a refund of the service and we’re told we could have a credit towards the next service. Safe to say, we will not be coming back to this clinic. We’re sorry to hear about your father’s experience, but we would like to clarify a few important points: 1.Incorrect Price Mentioned: The crown your father received cost approximately 712 AUD, not 1500 AUD as stated in your review. The total cost of treatment done with us is around 1,484 AUD which is 31,200 THB which includes the crown, deep cleaning, Panoramic x-ray, composite onlay, etc. which you can review from the receipt we provided for every payment made. 2.Cause of the Issue: It can happen sometimes. The failure of cementation is multifactorial such as chewing sticky or hard substances like gummies or chewing gum which can be resolved by re-cementation of the existing crown. 3.Patient Agreement: The treatment warranty is covered in Phuket Thailand as we informed your father in Patient Agreement before the treatment which clearly outlines our policies. This includes the fact that our materials and methods are specific to our clinic in Patong, Phuket. 4.Resolution Offered: While we cannot provide refunds, because that crown can be fixed by re-cementation, we have offered to subsidize the treatment covered by sending us the expense receipt and we will keep the money as credit for the treatment in the future. We always aim to treat our patients with honesty and care. It’s unfortunate that this situation has caused frustration, but we ask that public reviews reflect accurate information to avoid misleading others. I had a fantastic experience at Dental Joy, the staff were very friendly and Dr Joy was very thorough whilst providing an exceptional service. I am very satisfied with the way my teeth look now, as they look very natural and feel a lot more comfortable as porcelain veneers then the previous composite ones that I had. I will be back in the near future for any additional services required.

The clinic is a very professional and sterile environment. The zoom whitening procedure was explained to me thoroughly beforehand. All the team there are friendly and make you feel at ease. I will be back in Phuket in November and would have no hesitation in coming to Dentaljoy again, I'm very happy with the results!!

My husband and I had a lovely experience at DentalJoy. I had a very thorough clean, think the best I've ever had! We also both had Zoom teeth whitening. The staff was so nice and professional, I am so happy with my white teeth. The price was so reasonable! Just book ahead of time as they do fill up!

a few scary moments, Dr. Joy made me feel completely at ease—She’s gentle, professional, and genuinely cares about her patients. I also had teeth whitening done by her lovely assistant and I’m absolutely thrilled with the results. I’ve had so many compliments from friends and family on my smile! I will say that one tooth couldn’t be saved—her Endodontist started a root canal but discovered a vertical split that wasn’t visible on X-rays. What truly impressed me was that the root canal was completed but I wasn’t charged for that appointment. It was such a kind and thoughtful gesture, and it really showed the integrity of Dr. Joy and her team. A special thank you to Michelle at reception—she’s fantastic! She made organising and rescheduling appointments so easy, and even helped work around my sightseeing plans.
