I've always been afraid of going to the dentist. Fortunately, Dental Migas Clinic was recommended to me. The visit was very friendly, and my fear of the dentist disappeared. I definitely recommend them.

I had a problem with my lower teeth. They needed to be removed and, of course, an implant or bridge inserted. During the appointment, I was informed that, for the preparatory period, to avoid going without teeth, I would have to wear a splint that would mimic those two teeth. would happen. I thought it wouldn't be so bad, since the splint would only cover the two adjacent teeth, and I could function in public more or less. I wasn't informed that the splint would cover the entire lower arch. It wasn't until I consulted at another clinic that I was made aware. I was extremely surprised that anyone could think I could function at work with a splint on all my lower teeth. I wouldn't be able to take it off to eat because I'd be around people and it would be uncomfortable to be seen without my two splints. I won't even mention going out and eating something, or even having a normal conversation, because that would make speaking difficult, so it's out of the question at work. I understand everything, but I don't understand how someone could offer something like that to someone, thinking they'd be able to participate in social life normally for two months. I had no idea it would cover the entire arch, and I'm not a dentist, so I have the right not to know. Besides, at another clinic, I learned that due to the extreme discomfort, this is generally not done and that temporary teeth are only used for gaps. I paid 1,400 PLN for the brace, and when I received it, I was truly astonished that anyone would think someone who goes to work and leaves the house could wear something like that for two months, suffering both physically and mentally. I'm continuing my treatment elsewhere. Re: It's not true that I was offered alternatives. I was only informed about the replacement brace, without being told it would cover the entire arch. If it were as you wrote, I would immediately choose a temporary bridge so I could eat normally and function socially, rather than being cut off from life for two months. All the best.

Dear Madam, During the consultation, Dr. Maja Broda-Latos presented in detail all possible temporary solutions, including a temporary denture, a temporary bridge, temporary implant crowns, and the Essix splint—along with their advantages and limitations. The patient makes the choice, and you chose the Essix splint. The solution you chose has the advantage of not interfering with adjacent teeth, not burdening the gums, not causing recession, not causing movement of the restoration, and maintaining comfort during healing—unlike dentures or temporary bridges, which often require multiple visits, additional fees, and can lead to mucosal trauma or weakening of the supporting teeth. Temporary implant crowns are also possible, but they are associated with higher costs and subsequent replacement with permanent implant crowns. The Essix splint sits securely on the patient's own teeth, allowing for eating, drinking, and normal speech. If necessary, it can be removed for subsequent treatment stages—thus avoiding the additional costs of additional temporary restorations. We are sorry that you view your choice negatively in retrospect. However, this opinion is unfair to Dr. Maja Brody-Latos, who provided you with comprehensive information and proposed the optimal solution, in line with your expectations and decision.
