I went to this dentist, who took 3 X-rays and said I had 6 cavities to treat (each at €75). I was astonished by the number, so I decided to get a second opinion elsewhere. She indicated that I had 6 cavities that needed immediate treatment, and I even scheduled appointments for that purpose. Later, it was mentioned that there were 3 or 4 more that would remain under surveillance, as they might not progress. I consider this conduct misleading, appearing to be a questionable strategy for profit.

Dear Beatriz, we are very sorry that your perception of our work and the dedication with which we evaluate each patient was as you wish. We remember your appointment well, because unfortunately, the doctor you had scheduled for the evaluation appointment was held up on the 25th of April Bridge. Therefore, because we didn't want you to miss this appointment, we asked another doctor on our team to examine you, if Beatriz wished. Beatriz agreed and the evaluation and diagnosis of her oral health was carried out. The doctor who examined her diagnosed 6 cavities, as you write, but informed her that this diagnosis would have to be confirmed by the doctor who would be responsible for her treatment, for 2 reasons: The first is that her clinical area is surgery/periodontology, and therefore, she currently does not treat cavities. Secondly, because of the diagnosed cavities, some might not require treatment, as they are called enamel caries which often, when properly monitored, do not progress and do not require treatment. The doctor who examined her spent just under 60 minutes with her, and at the end of the consultation, Beatriz did not feel the need to ask the doctor about this or any other issue. We regret that she did not continue treatment with us, where we know she would surely have been properly treated. If you ever use our services again, we would be delighted to welcome you to our clinic, and we advise you to check the treatment prices beforehand, for example on our website. Thank you very much.

I was extremely disappointed with the service provided. I booked an appointment expecting proper treatment, but they simply "looked" at my teeth without any procedure, explanation, or real care. To my surprise, they charged €75 just for this brief observation. A total disregard for the patient's time and money. I do not recommend them and certainly will not return.

Dear Cinthya Barros, We consulted our entire patient database and did not find your name associated with any clinical record, neither for adults nor for accompanying children. However, please allow me to inform you, should you wish to become our patient, that the diagnostic and evaluation consultation costs €80 for adults and €90 for children, not the €75 you wrote. This evaluation consultation, in which we "see" your teeth and diagnose possible diseases associated with your oral cavity, is always scheduled for 1 hour. Except in the case of a patient arriving late and requesting to proceed with the consultation, the time of the first evaluation consultation is not altered. The proposed treatment is initiated in a subsequent consultation, after we feel that the patient understands the state of their oral health and has no doubts regarding the proposed treatment. If you have any further questions, we are at your complete disposal. Thank you very much.

I never felt very comfortable in a dentist's chair. Something that changed recently with my visit to Dr. Ana Mexia's AM Smiling clinic. I was very well received and the team is fantastic.
