e professionals face demanding workdays. However, what happened to me went beyond what I consider reasonable and acceptable. During the procedure, there was an error in calculating the size of my veneer, which meant the process had to be repeated. Instead of handling the situation calmly, the doctor reacted with frustration and in a disrespectful tone, mentioning that she had been working for more than 12 hours. I understand fatigue, but, in my opinion, that doesn't justify treating a patient inconsiderately. Her argument was that I should have noticed the veneer didn't fit properly before cementing it. In my case, this was practically impossible: I was lying down the entire time, with a mouth retractor, under anesthesia, and I only saw the color from the side for a few seconds. At that moment, as best I could, I mentioned that it seemed small compared to the others. The response I received was that it was the correct size, so I trusted her judgment. Only when I stood up and saw myself head-on in the mirror did I notice that it was visibly disproportionate and set inwards. I left the clinic in pain, with a poorly fitted veneer that was causing me a lot of discomfort, and very confused at having been held responsible for something I couldn't have controlled. At the next appointment, I tried to discuss what had happened before continuing the treatment; the doctor immediately discredited me and used sarcastic and very derogatory comments. When she ran out of arguments to defend her mistreatment, she started accusing me of having yelled at her—with a cynicism that left me speechless—something that, of course, never happened. The experience was extremely unpleasant: from the moment she realized her mistake, the treatment was hostile, and in response to her, I was the one who decided not to continue with the service. I have proof. After repeated requests, she finally agreed to refund the amount I had paid in advance, although this did not cover all the damages. For example, the temporary veneer she placed (without having touched it) came off in less than 24 hours. Since it coincided with Easter week, I had to go to an emergency dentist (an additional €120, which I never got back). Furthermore, both my partner and I suffered repeated delays of up to 50 minutes for appointments, without any explanation or consideration for our time. After switching to another clinic, in just eight days I had a new veneer correctly placed and without any problems. I have attached before photos (the one placed by the doctor at this clinic) and after photos (the one corrected at the new clinic). This has been my personal experience, and I believe it is important to share it.
