I had a simple but very good cleaning. It’s not like the US with fluoride this and teeth brushing that but she did a great job removing the plaque. They don’t offer X-rays in the dentist offices in Medellin but you can walk into the Xray place and get them for about $5 USD. I also got my teeth whitened. It was like bleaching. I had a gum graft surgery in this clinic. Dr Laura was super professional, careful and nice to me. She made two (!) surgeries for me and spent a lot of time fixing my gum and adding a tissue. ed inconsistencies in the information provided. During the appointment booking process, I sought clarity on the total out-of-pocket cost for the full procedure involving two implants. Unfortunately, upon arrival, I discovered that the quoted price did not include the cost of the crowns, doubling the expense. While I proceeded with the surgery, I was disappointed by the lack of transparency regarding the overall cost. Furthermore, there were concerns about the integrity of the diagnosis given to my wife. The suggestion that previous crowns had infections seemed questionable, especially when the proposed solution involved cleaning them out with tools rather than prescribing antibiotics. This raised doubts about the legitimacy of the diagnosis. To ensure a fair assessment, we scheduled an appointment with our local dentist upon returning home. Our purpose was to have a comprehensive examination and verify the condition of my implants. It's worth noting that during this examination, not once did our local dentist mention any infections or raise concerns about the work done abroad. We refrained from providing any information about our overseas dental work, allowing our dentist to form an independent evaluation. This independent examination contributed to our overall perspective on the dental procedures conducted abroad. In conclusion, despite the success of the oral surgery, the inconsistencies and potential misunderstandings surrounding costs and diagnoses significantly detracted from the overall experience. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this practice due to these concerns. I will be seeking another dental practice to complete my crowns, as I value transparency and clear communication in my healthcare providers. While I initially liked this dentist, the issues encountered, particularly the possibility of unnecessary procedures, are unacceptable and have led to a loss of trust in the overall dental care provided.

Dental implant treatment at our clinic is always divided into two phases. The first phase is the surgical placement of the implant in the bone, followed by a 4- to 6-month healing period before the second phase, which is the placement of the porcelain crown on the implant. We always provide separate prices for both procedures. We regret the misunderstanding you experienced regarding your quote. We never want to perform unnecessary treatments on our patients, as you mentioned. More than just being highly qualified professionals, we are a team of kind people who always strive to provide the best for our patients.
