ay anything and immediately went to check me in where I had a woman fill out my forms without asking me about any of my medical conditions. I watched her as she marked “no” for everything. LOL. Immediately brings me upstairs into a room with the doctor playing music. I asked the dentist what the different treatments were since we didn’t confirm the type of cleaning I would receive (via email or at the front desk) and I wanted to confirm pricing before being treated. He immediately got upset and said we are already 25 mins late and to hurry up and lay back. I apologized again for being late and stated that if he was going to be rushed, they should not have taken me in as a patient. I also said that when I’m paying for a service, I’m allowed to ask a simple question. He became so flustered and upset that I no longer felt safe in the room, so I got up and left. I work in medicine and I’ve never seen a “doctor” so quick to lose composure. If this is how he reacts when a patient asks a simple question, I can’t imagine how he handles anything more complex. The ego and lack of emotional control he showed has no place in patient care. You’re not saving lives, you’re cleaning teeth.
My Husband and I always fly all the way from Germany just for the excellent dental services in Thailand. Bangkok Smile Dental is always nice, caring and considerate to us. Making appointment is definitely hassle free and they are really professional und hospitable. The Dentists (as well as the Front Desk Staff) are all reliable and can speak good English. I recently had an ultrasonic teeth cleaning (Air Flow Ultrasonic Cleaning) and it was absolutely great! The procedure was very fast, incredibly gentle, and highly effective. Went there to do a cleaning & fillings. At first, the doctor seemed professional and knowledgeable, with decent English which is really important. Although, once the cleaning started (which turned out implies only scaling and polishing, or half of teeth polished) it became super painful (scaling). Obviously, I have something to compare it to. and not precisely, covering only some part of the teeth. And yeah, no AirFlow has been done or offered, as I asked for a full cleaning which usually implies scaling and AirFlow as a standard. The second part with fillings was pretty much okay till the point when the doctor started polishing it. It took her around 15-20 min to finish polishing it (i have no idea what that was and why it took so long, but that was not promising good result). After roughly 2 weeks the filling is okay, although I came to a doctor in Europe to double check my teeth and it turned out that I have a lot of calculus. So I had to pay again for a cleaning, having no idea what I have paid for before at Bangkok Smile.
I broke my front tooth while in Bangkok. I went to this clinic to get my tooth repaired. The repair required two visits, first to prep the tooth and get a temporary cap, and then to get the permanent cap. I was THOROUGHLY impressed with the entire process. t. She speaks English very well, she thoroughly explained every step of the way in the procedure. I was surprised to find out she went to school at UCLA in the USA. Thank you Dr. I love my new front tooth! The price was very affordable. I paid about 1/4 what this would have cost in the USA. The location is hard to find at first. There is a shopping center and large parking garage just behind the building where the Dental clinic is located. The shopping center is called Thaniya Shopping Mall.
