Please allow me to clarify the following for Mr. Witun: Mr. Witun brought his son, Wich, in with a chipped and broken front tooth that had been damaged for a year. He wanted a filling. Wich was examined by a pediatric specialist, who found that Wich's tooth had been struck by a fall. The specialist explained everything in detail to Mr. Witun, answering his questions for about 10 minutes. This included explanations about whether the damaged tooth could be saved and might require root canal treatment and a crown, and whether the adjacent tooth was decayed with a risk of nerve damage. The specialist explained that a filling might be possible, but root canal treatment would be necessary if the tooth structure was drilled into it. It was uncertain whether a filling would be needed, and if problems persisted, root canal treatment would be considered. The specialist also explained the option of leaving the tooth alone and waiting for symptoms to appear (which would inevitably happen, but the son presented with a pus-filled bump on the gum above the tooth requiring root canal treatment). The reason the specialist explained all this was to help Mr. Witun understand that there were options available, and the specialist would choose the most appropriate method considering both treatment outcomes and costs. The focus was not on maximizing costs, but on explaining the treatment plan step-by-step so that there would be no need to change the plan if necessary. The specialist even explained why children's teeth are more susceptible to nerve damage than adults'. The dentist explained the classic problem of parents having to wear metal-colored crowns for their child. They often find it difficult to accept and understand. The dentist informed Mr. Witun that he had time to decide. Regarding the brown tooth, it wasn't tartar but decay. Today, the dentist recommended a teeth cleaning and fluoride treatment (the reason being that other teeth were starting to decay, so fluoride treatment was a preventative measure. Also, the child, at 3 years old, had never been to the dentist before, so this was recommended as it would be his first preventative treatment. It's a good opportunity to prevent other teeth prone to decay and to get him used to simple preventative procedures. Next time, there will be local anesthesia, many instruments placed in the mouth, and wrapping, so this will help him adjust more easily). An X-ray was recommended to compare the current condition before and after. Mr. Witun then asked if a filling could be done instead. The dentist explained again, detailing the risks of a filling falling out and cracking, and mentioned the 2000 baht cost of a potentially damaged filling. Mr. Witun then asked if a filling could be done for the tooth with decay almost reaching the nerve. The dentist patiently explained further, answering several questions to ensure the parents understood before beginning treatment. The father asked what procedures were available that day. The dentist explained that they could do an X-ray and polish with fluoride, or just an X-ray without polishing and fluoride, depending on Mr. Witun's decision. The father inquired about the price. The dentist stated that the X-ray would be 500-600 baht, and including polishing and fluoride would be approximately 2000 baht. The father mentioned he wanted to consult his wife first, expressing concern about the appearance of a shiny metal crown. This led to a discussion about white crowns, similar to natural teeth. The dentist explained upfront that metal crowns are stronger, as children don't handle their teeth with care. White crowns, however, are less durable and more expensive, costing 10,000 baht per tooth for root canal treatment. Furthermore, the tooth would inevitably fall out around age 7, as is typical for baby teeth. (The answer was: there are options; the metal crown is less durable and more expensive, but it's more convenient for parents who don't want their child to have metal teeth.) The examination concluded without a decision. When asked about the consultation fee (100 baht) and the sterilization equipment fee (250 baht), the father objected at the counter, arguing that the rates were inappropriate and should only be 100-150 baht. He continued to question the charges directly with the dentist for a while. The doctor then reduced the price to 300 baht. My father returned to the counter and requested a review of the total cost, taking photos and commenting on the expenses for quite some time before paying the 300 baht and leaving. The dental cost guidelines are initial rates or price ranges. Each case of treatment has many details. Think of it like taking your car for repairs; the cost will vary. The doctor is similar to a car mechanic; they inform you before treatment. If it's not convenient, they won't do the repair. There was no intention to deceive or overcharge. The doctor quoted 2000 baht for a tooth-colored filling: This was for a cracked tooth, not a cavity, but the doctor had already stated that it wasn't recommended. The doctor quoted 1500 baht for a fluoride coating, but the stated price was 1200 baht: This included 500 baht for the X-ray, 300 baht for polishing, 1000 baht for the coating, and 250 baht for sterilization = 2000 baht. The doctor quoted 6-8 thousand baht for a metal crown and white filling: This was for root canal treatment and a metal crown, not a white filling. Other details are all inaccurate. I respectfully refrain from commenting on other clinics. Each clinic operates differently and has different back-end processes. The services are not the same. Comparing the two clinics depends on the patient's preference; I don't want a direct apples-to-apples comparison. Value for money = the value received versus the value paid. Dental treatment at Home Smile isn't expensive, but it's worth it.

Dear Mom, The accusations that the doctor made an inexperienced decision - lack of confidence, shaking hands, the doctor didn't look at me or talk - got upset, and walked away without any empathy are completely untrue. While Mom disagrees with the doctor's diagnosis at Baan Term Yim, the clinic does not want to interfere with the clinic that Mom claimed could save the tooth for dental reasons and the consequences. Baan Term Yim Clinic prioritizes the safety of a 3-year-old child and believes that extracting a baby tooth that has been found to be deeply fractured below the gum line is the only appropriate method. Mom has the right to choose whichever method she prefers. However, posting a false statement on the clinic's Google business page has caused damage to the clinic. Mom has the option to first report her dissatisfaction with the clinic, or, if she believes she has been harmed, she can file a complaint with the government agency directly overseeing the clinic to verify the facts. However, this post is intentionally damaging. It is unfair to leave the post unresolved, leaving others worried about whether to seek treatment at Baan Term Yim, without any evidence.

This depends on the appointment notification, the appropriateness of the appointment time, the patient's readiness, and more. The clinic's top priority is cleanliness in treatment, sterilization of dental equipment, and the quality of treatment, as well as adherence to dental principles and ethics. Regarding the clinic's aesthetics and modernization, we acknowledge that it is starting to look dated.
