Tunisia is North Africa's most established dental tourism destination, primarily serving French, Italian, Spanish, Belgian, and increasingly British patients for savings of 55-70% versus Western European prices. SmileJet has verified 21 clinics across Tunisia's two main hubs: Tunis (15 clinics) and Sousse (6 clinics). Partner clinics maintain a collective 4.9 average rating across 1,027 patient reviews. Leading clinics include Cabinet Dentaire Dr Walid Aouini, Cabinet Dr Amine Mlayah, Centre Dentaire Avicenne, and Cabinet Dr Marwa Ben Dhia Boumaiza. Tunisian dentists train at the University of Monastir Faculty of Dental Medicine (one of North Africa's most respected dental schools) and commonly hold French or Belgian specialty qualifications. Leading clinics use Straumann, Nobel Biocare, and Osstem implants alongside modern CAD/CAM workflows. Tunisia combines short flights from Europe (2-3 hours), Mediterranean coastal appeal, and savings comparable to Turkey. [1]

Where the clinics are
Most of the quality concentration in Tunisia sits in two to three cities. Each has its own character, its own airport, and its own mix of specialisms. Start by picking the city.
An excellent experience at Dr. Walid's office. I went there for implants and I can only confirm that he is one of the best specialists in the country. What I appreciated most was the guidance and follow-up from the very first appointment. Very professional and...
What's different about dentistry here
The training
Senior clinicians at our Tunisia-partner clinics typically hold international fellowships (ICOI, Pankey, Kois) alongside domestic credentials. We verify each one, and link them on every clinic dossier.
The equipment
CBCT, digital impressions, and in-house milling are standard at our top-tier clinics. Materials are imported โ Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Ivoclar. Our audits photograph lot numbers and expiration dates.
The logistics
English-speaking coordinators, airport pickup, hotel coordination, and post-op follow-up via WhatsApp are table stakes. If a clinic doesn't do these things, they don't make our list.
The follow-up
We keep touch for 12 months post-treatment. Any clinic that drops communication with a patient for more than 72 hours gets flagged and eventually dropped. Patient support is the one non-negotiable.
