Thailand is one of the world's largest dental tourism markets, serving over 1.5 million international patients annually across medical and dental tourism. SmileJet has verified 137 clinics across Thailand's four main dental hubs: Pattaya (51 clinics), Phuket (47), Chiang Mai (31), and Bangkok (8). Partner clinics maintain a collective 4.8 average rating across 16,357 patient reviews. Top-rated clinics include BFC Dental Implant Center Bangkok (306 reviews), Bangkok International Dental Center (BIDC, 231 reviews, JCI-accredited), Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital Dental Clinic (503 reviews), and Dentific Dental Clinic in Chiang Mai. Thai dentists train at the globally respected Chulalongkorn University Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry, and Chiang Mai University. Leading clinics use Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Osstem, and IPS E.max materials, often at JCI-accredited hospital dental departments. [1]

Where the clinics are
Most of the quality concentration in Thailand sits in two to three cities. Each has its own character, its own airport, and its own mix of specialisms. Start by picking the city.

What's different about dentistry here
The training
Senior clinicians at our Thailand-partner clinics typically hold international fellowships (ICOI, Pankey, Kois) alongside domestic credentials. We verify each one, and link them on every clinic dossier.
The equipment
CBCT, digital impressions, and in-house milling are standard at our top-tier clinics. Materials are imported โ Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Ivoclar. Our audits photograph lot numbers and expiration dates.
The logistics
English-speaking coordinators, airport pickup, hotel coordination, and post-op follow-up via WhatsApp are table stakes. If a clinic doesn't do these things, they don't make our list.
The follow-up
We keep touch for 12 months post-treatment. Any clinic that drops communication with a patient for more than 72 hours gets flagged and eventually dropped. Patient support is the one non-negotiable.
