Spain is Western Europe's largest dental tourism market, welcoming an estimated 150,000+ international patients annually. British, Irish, French, Dutch, and German patients cross the Iberian border for savings of 30-55% versus home-country prices while enjoying EU-regulated clinical standards, Mediterranean weather, and Spain's famous quality of life. SmileJet has verified 236 clinics across Spain's four main hubs: Madrid (86 clinics), Barcelona (82), Valencia (38), and Marbella (30). Partner clinics maintain a collective 4.7 average rating across 23,890 patient reviews. Top-rated practices include R&H Dental Marbella (250 reviews, 4.92 rating), Clínica Dental Valencia, Clínica CS Dental, and Dental Clinic Puerta de Toledo in Madrid. Spanish dentists train at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Universitat de Barcelona, and other top European schools, and premium clinics use Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Neodent, and IPS E.max materials. Where the clinics are
Most of the quality concentration in Spain sits in two to three cities. Each has its own character, its own airport, and its own mix of specialisms. Start by picking the city.
Fantastic professionals! Personalized attention and unbeatable service. I had my teeth whitened and I'm thrilled with the results.
What's different about dentistry here
The training
Senior clinicians at our Spain-partner clinics typically hold international fellowships (ICOI, Pankey, Kois) alongside domestic credentials. We verify each one, and link them on every clinic dossier.
The equipment
CBCT, digital impressions, and in-house milling are standard at our top-tier clinics. Materials are imported — Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Ivoclar. Our audits photograph lot numbers and expiration dates.
The logistics
English-speaking coordinators, airport pickup, hotel coordination, and post-op follow-up via WhatsApp are table stakes. If a clinic doesn't do these things, they don't make our list.
The follow-up
We keep touch for 12 months post-treatment. Any clinic that drops communication with a patient for more than 72 hours gets flagged and eventually dropped. Patient support is the one non-negotiable.
