Mexico is the world's largest cross-border dental tourism market, serving over 1.4 million US and Canadian patients annually. SmileJet has verified 357 clinics across Mexico's six main dental tourism hubs: Tijuana (78 clinics), Mexico City (76), Cancún (75), Guadalajara (40), Playa del Carmen (23), and Juárez (20). Partner clinics maintain a collective 4.7 average rating across 26,640 patient reviews. Leading practices include New Age Dental Clinic (Tijuana, 446 reviews), Dentcare Cancún, Sky Dental Studio, and Shtern Dental Clinic. Mexico's positioning is unmatched: border-town drive-in access for US patients (Tijuana, Juárez, Los Algodones), 70-80% savings versus US prices, internationally-trained dentists (many US-educated), and the same implant brands, materials, and clinical standards as US practices. Cancún and Playa del Carmen combine dental work with Caribbean beach holidays for a broader leisure-focused audience. [1]

What's different about dentistry here
The training
Senior clinicians at our Mexico-partner clinics typically hold international fellowships (ICOI, Pankey, Kois) alongside domestic credentials. We verify each one, and link them on every clinic dossier.
The equipment
CBCT, digital impressions, and in-house milling are standard at our top-tier clinics. Materials are imported — Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Ivoclar. Our audits photograph lot numbers and expiration dates.
The logistics
English-speaking coordinators, airport pickup, hotel coordination, and post-op follow-up via WhatsApp are table stakes. If a clinic doesn't do these things, they don't make our list.
The follow-up
We keep touch for 12 months post-treatment. Any clinic that drops communication with a patient for more than 72 hours gets flagged and eventually dropped. Patient support is the one non-negotiable.
