The place is beautiful and spacious, the staff provides excellent service, there are many dentists, and the prices are affordable.
702, 26 Sukhumvit Soi 18, Bangkok, Thailand
Yutaka Dental Clinic is a dental practice with Japanese roots, located on Sukhumvit Soi 26, Khlong Tan, Khlong Toei, Bangkok. The clinic was established to serve the city's sizeable Japanese expatriate community, but over the years has expanded its reach to welcome Thai, English-speaking, and other international patients looking for a meticulous, detail-oriented approach to dental care.
The name Yutaka reflects the Japanese value of abundance and richness: the clinic applies this philosophy to patient care by taking time with each consultation, providing thorough explanations of treatment options, and prioritizing long-term oral health outcomes over quick fixes. Japanese patients in Bangkok appreciate the familiar communication style and the precision that the team brings to every procedure.
General dentistry forms the foundation of the practice. Services include routine examinations, full-mouth digital radiographic surveys, professional scaling and polishing, fluoride applications, tooth-colored composite fillings, and straightforward extractions. Root canal therapy is performed with modern rotary endodontic instruments, reducing chair time and post-operative discomfort relative to traditional hand-filing protocols.
Cosmetic dentistry is offered for patients who want to improve the appearance of their smile. Porcelain and composite veneers, ceramic dental crowns, dental bonding, and professional in-office teeth whitening are all available. The team takes a conservative approach, recommending the least invasive option that achieves the desired outcome and preserving as much natural tooth structure as possible.
Restorative services cover dental implants, fixed bridgework, and removable partial and complete dentures for patients with missing teeth. Implant cases are evaluated with appropriate radiographic imaging to confirm bone volume and plan placement, and patients receive a detailed treatment plan and cost estimate before work begins. Orthodontic consultations for braces and clear aligner treatment can also be arranged.

The explanations given before treatment and the selection of treatment methods with a view to the future were all satisfactory. As mentioned earlier, I received various treatments, but I did not feel any pain. It is easy to go there as you can almost certainly get an appointment if you have a week's notice.

I developed a toothache after leaving Japan and came here on short notice. There were a lot of different reviews, but I trusted the words of a friend who's based in Bangkok and decided to visit. I ended up having to have the tooth extracted, which was an inevitable outcome. After returning to Japan, I went to my regular dentist for a checkup. I was told there were no problems with the treatment here and that it was actually excellent. It's true that the X-rays and equipment aren't the latest, but rather, this isn't one of those expensive dental clinics in Bangkok that specializes in cosmetic and orthodontic treatments for Japanese people. I felt that this is a local doctor with the skills to treat basic cavities and other issues.

The service and people are nice, but the facilities and techniques are those of a local doctor. An older woman examines with her own eyes, and the X-rays are life-size. X-rays cost 500 baht each for the upper front teeth and upper back teeth. They might be okay for treating simple cavities. I was told I needed treatment at two dentists in Japan, but here they diagnosed me as having no problems. They also kept scraping the gaps between my front teeth, which I told them were painful, so maybe they were trying to remove the tartar, but it seems like the filling between them is chipped a little, and my front teeth look gapped and I can still get some fluid through them... I want to cry... The scraping has made my gums hurt even more, and the diagnosis was that there was nothing wrong, so I shouldn't have gone. I'm never going again.

In Thailand, dentists do not always have doctors on-site with specialized roles (such as a doctor who extracts teeth and a doctor who performs root canal treatment), so coordination between doctors is necessary, but here, Japanese people are in charge, so the process is very smooth and stress-free. Of course, the skills of each doctor will vary, but they are comparable to those of major hospitals. There are also people who have written reviews and are dissatisfied with the treatment, but this is the same in Japan. It means that some people are suited to the dentist and some are not!

I won't go there again. The Japanese female interpreter is annoying.

The dentist who treated me was Thai, but a Japanese interpreter was always there to explain everything. He also told me the cost of treatment on the spot, so I felt at ease. I was also satisfied with the treatment.

For just the cleaning, the consultation fee was 500 and the cleaning cost was 1500, for a total of 2000 baht. The technician was very good and they were able to remove the tartar, so I was happy. If you don't have any cavities, a 30-minute appointment for just the cleaning will be completed in one day.

I made an appointment, but they said they didn't have time to do everything. This is my first time at a dentist that charges by the hour. I checked the questionnaire that I didn't want to go, but they said there wasn't enough time for the other half, so I'll have to do it next time, and for the last tooth, so I'll have to do it next time. On the day of the last tooth, it took less than 15 minutes from when I arrived to when I paid. I thought it was strange that I had to pay a follow-up consultation fee each time, and that they couldn't even do the treatment that could be done all at once. If they couldn't do it, they should have said so when making the appointment. The interpreter did a good job, but both the Japanese female and male interpreters didn't seem very nice. The Thai male interpreter was polite and nice.

They treated me very carefully, and my teeth were so smooth after the cleaning!! This was my third dentist in Bangkok, but this one is the most comfortable and the treatment is the best! I highly recommend this place to anyone in Bangkok who has dental problems.
