Why Choose UniDent in Tbilisi?

Tbilisi dental clinic and training-research center on Agmashenebeli Avenue offering implants, orthodontics, aesthetic, and therapeutic dentistry six days a week.

UniDent is a dental clinic and training-research center located in Tbilisi, Georgia, operating from two addresses on and near Agmashenebeli Avenue -- one of the city's principal commercial streets. The clinic combines active clinical services with a training and research function, reflecting an institutional commitment to advancing dental education and keeping its clinical practice aligned with current developments in the field. Operating Monday through Saturday from 9:30 in the morning until 8:30 in the evening, UniDent offers extended hours that provide flexibility for both local patients and international visitors with time-sensitive schedules.

The clinic's multilingual team communicates in Georgian, Russian, and English, ensuring that international patients from a wide range of backgrounds can communicate comfortably with the clinical staff. The team includes specialists across multiple dental disciplines, providing coordinated care for patients with complex, multi-stage treatment needs.

Training and Research Center

The dual identity of UniDent as both a clinical practice and a training-research center distinguishes it from conventional dental offices. Training-integrated dental clinics are common models in academic dental settings, and they carry particular advantages for patients: the clinical environment tends to be held to higher standards of documentation, protocol adherence, and peer review than is typical in private practice. Research activity within the center means that clinical approaches are evaluated against current evidence, and the training function motivates ongoing professional development among the team. For international patients, an academic or research-affiliated clinic can provide additional confidence in the quality of care and the commitment to keeping clinical standards current.

Therapeutic Dentistry

The therapeutic department at UniDent addresses common dental conditions including caries, pulpitis, and other tooth diseases. Decay is diagnosed early using diagnostic imaging and clinical examination, then treated by removing affected tissue and restoring the tooth with durable, tooth-colored materials. When decay has reached the pulp chamber, endodontic (root canal) treatment is performed to remove the infected tissue, clean and shape the root canal system, and seal it against reinfection. The team includes experienced therapists such as Eka Mdivani, who manages restorative cases alongside the clinic's other specialists.

Aesthetic Dentistry

UniDent offers a range of cosmetic dental treatments designed to improve the appearance of the smile. Veneers and cosmetic bonding address surface-level concerns including discoloration, chips, gaps, and minor shape irregularities. Professional teeth whitening produces a noticeably brighter result than home products. For patients requiring more comprehensive aesthetic improvements, the team can develop a smile transformation plan that coordinates multiple procedures into a coherent treatment sequence. The clinic's focus on combining health with beauty is reflected in its service description, which positions aesthetics as an integral component of overall dental care rather than a secondary concern.

Implantology and Surgery

The surgical department at UniDent, led by clinicians including Dr. Beka Goginashvili, provides dental implant placement and other oral surgical procedures. Dental implants replace missing teeth with a fixed, permanent solution anchored in the jawbone. The process involves placing a titanium implant fixture, allowing it to integrate with the surrounding bone, and then attaching a custom prosthetic crown or bridge to complete the restoration. The clinic uses diagnostic imaging to plan implant placement accurately, minimizing surgical risk and ensuring the implant is positioned for optimal function and longevity.

Oral surgical services also include tooth extractions, including more complex cases involving impacted or broken-down teeth, as well as preparatory procedures such as bone grafting that may be needed before implant placement where bone volume is insufficient.

Orthodontics

The orthodontic program at UniDent treats misaligned teeth and bite problems in patients of all ages. Fixed braces and removable orthodontic appliances are used to move teeth into the correct position over time, guided by a treatment plan developed from thorough diagnostic records. Orthodontic correction improves not only the appearance of the smile but also the function of the bite and the ease of maintaining oral hygiene in areas that were previously difficult to clean due to crowding. The availability of orthodontic services alongside implantology and prosthodontics allows the clinic to manage complex cases that require coordinated input from multiple specialists.

Prosthodontics

The prosthodontic team, which includes Dr. Mariam Borchashvili, provides crowns, bridges, and dentures to restore or replace damaged or missing teeth. Dental crowns protect weakened teeth and are also used as the visible component of implant restorations. Bridges span gaps left by missing teeth, anchoring to adjacent natural teeth or implants. Dentures -- both partial and complete -- offer a removable solution for patients who have lost multiple or all teeth in an arch. The prosthodontic team works to ensure that all restorations are precisely fitted, correctly occluding with opposing teeth, and matched in shade and shape to produce a natural and comfortable result.

Diagnostic Services

Accurate diagnosis is the foundation of effective dental treatment, and UniDent provides digital X-ray services to support clinical decision-making across all departments. Digital radiography produces high-resolution images with significantly less radiation exposure than conventional film-based X-rays, making it a safer and more comfortable diagnostic tool. Diagnostic imaging is used for caries detection, periodontal bone level assessment, root canal evaluation, and implant treatment planning.

Clinical Team

The clinical team at UniDent includes practitioners specializing in therapeutic dentistry, aesthetic dentistry, orthodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry. Named team members include Natia Nizharadze, Nino Maglakelidze, Eka Mdivani (therapist), Mariam Borchashvili (prosthodontist), Beka Goginashvili (surgeon), Nino Japaridze, and Dr. Teona Nutsubidze. This range of in-house specialization supports coordinated care for complex cases and reduces the need for external referrals.

UniDent's location near Agmashenebeli Avenue provides good accessibility for patients from across Tbilisi. The extended operating hours, multilingual team, and combined clinical-academic identity make the clinic a particularly well-suited option for international patients seeking thorough and professionally structured dental care in Georgia.

One of the worst dental clinic experiences. Poor dental treatment quality, bad patient management, and no clear communication. If you are searching for a reliable dental clinic for root canal, braces, or cleaning in Nepal, stay away from this place.

Paid 1160 GEL after my tooth broke in half and needed to be rebuilt (cavity treatment + nerve removal). While the procedure seemed thorough, it left me with open gum pockets that weren’t an issue before. Now I’m told I need to pay extra for a crown to fix it — which the clinic doesn’t even provide, and they take no responsibility. Within two months, I developed gum sensitivity and food started getting trapped around the tooth. Disappointing outcome — I now have to spend more to fix a problem that didn’t exist before. I’ll be getting a second opinion and will update this review.

Unident: They have a nice name, but the service is a disaster. I went to Unident for root canal treatment. After several visits, they told me that everything was finished and the tooth was sealed. However, I still feel severe pain and the tooth reacts to any food. This means that they did not carry out the treatment properly. No one is responsible. As if you pay the money and the obligation ends. There was another tooth that only needed a filling. But they did not properly remove the old caries, as a result of which the tooth disintegrated and crumbled from the inside. That is, they did not even try to do it right and, on the contrary, aggravated the situation. No one answers, no one takes responsibility. They have a nice interior and a foreign name. But if you are not professionals, it will not work. Time, money, nerves - everything is wasted, and the result is zero. If you want a reliable clinic for dental treatment, forget about Unident. Here they only know how to say "it's over", but the pain and problems are just beginning. Unident: Fancy name, disastrous service. I went to Unident for a root canal. They wasted several appointments and in the end said "it's done" and sealed my tooth. Yet I still have severe pain, and my tooth reacts to every kind of food. That means the root canal was not done properly. And of course, no one is answering anymore. It's as if once they get your money, no one is responsible. I also had another tooth that just needed a filling. But they didn't properly remove the old decay, and my tooth disintegrated and crumbled from the inside. In other words, they didn't even try to fix it correctly—they made it worse. No one responds, no one takes responsibility. They just have a sleek interior and a foreign-sounding name. But if you're not a professional, none of that matters. Time, money, nerves—all wasted, result: zero. If you're looking for a reliable place to treat your teeth, forget Unident. Here they only know how to say "it's done," but the pain and problems are only beginning.

I visited the clinic in October 2022. I decided to walk around a bit with a new tooth, as well as after 2 surgeries to remove wisdom teeth and see how I feel before writing a review. I am very grateful to the doctors who work there! I had a tooth restored here for a crown, a crown, and also had 4 (!) wisdom teeth extracted, and all this in 1 month. All the doctors approached their work responsibly, for them quality was important, not speed and how much money they would earn. I would also like to note the transparency of prices (you will always be kept informed of what is happening), as well as a very friendly approach - they will explain everything to you, show you and answer any of your questions. The doctors are ready to answer personal messages in messengers, and even after you have done the procedures. They themselves will be interested in how everything went and how you feel, which once again emphasizes that they work here primarily for the result, and not for the money. I compare with clinics in Moscow, and none of the 5 different clinics of different levels can boast the same professionalism and customer focus. For the same procedures, they wanted 3-4 times more money from me in any clinic, and it was obvious that they only wanted money, not your health. Special thanks: 1) Therapist Eka Mdivani. My tooth was destroyed (only roots and part of the walls remained), and I needed to put a crown, but before that - to restore it with a filling. The filling was put in so quickly that I almost did not notice the appointment, and so high-quality that it did not differ in shape and other indicators from my real teeth. I did not even want to do anything further))) 2) Orthopedist Mariam Borchashvili. Until the crown is an ideal fit for you in shape (even a temporary one), this doctor will not let you go. The final tooth with a crown is in no way different from my real one, I did not have to get used to it or feel discomfort. It is pleasant to talk and discuss with Mariam, she is not only a very good doctor, but also a great person. Mariam puts a crown on you, but treats it as if it were her own teeth. 3) Surgeon Beka Goginashvili. In Moscow, they wanted to pull out my wisdom teeth under general anesthesia and only in a few clinics, because the lower teeth were not formed, were deep and next to the jaw nerve (although they were already pressing on the neighboring teeth). Beka laughed at his Moscow colleagues, and it literally took no more than 15 minutes to pull out each tooth under local anesthesia. At the same time, the wisdom teeth were not broken during removal, and the doctor took them out whole and showed them to me. I recovered just as quickly, on the 3rd day there was no more swelling, on the 10th day they removed my stitches, and on the 3rd week the holes in the gums were completely healed. I had two surgeries with Beka with a gap of 10 days, first 2 teeth on the left side, then 2 teeth on the right (at the same time I went to Mariam to do procedures on the crown! All because I almost did not feel any problems from the extraction and could calmly do other procedures). On both sides, both the surgery and healing went without problems. Now (after 2 months) in place of 4 wisdom teeth there are only small depressions and not even scars. In summary, I can say that after two months I have not had any problems, I will be happy to continue being treated by these doctors. In terms of price-quality ratio, this is the best dentistry I have been to.

It is very sad that the work of the amazing doctors (whom my family and I have been going to for years) is being ruined by Ms. Nino Sadiliani, who works at the desk and whose age has not taught her how to be polite and approach patients. I, and everyone who has been there recently, have lost the desire to return a second time.

I saw Dr. Nino Japaridze and then also Dr. Beqa Goginashvili on 24th March 2021 within just one day's notice. I was in severe pain and I was in Tbilisi for a short visit and I did not know what to do. Dr. Nino was very smart, professional and caring n kind. She saw my existing X-Ray from the German Dental Doha Clinic and told me that I needed a new x-ray. She was so caring that she stood in front of the x-ray room to make sure I had a good x-ray. She identified problem tooth and cause so fast and explained to me my best possible way out. To my surprise, I found out that my last tooth, not the 2nd last as I thought, and my german dentist, Dominique from Doha thought was the problem. I will describe the story about the most expensive dental services in Doha (Qatar) in the lower part of the review. Anyway, she explained to me that my last tooth which was recently treated for cavity by Dr Dominique from German Dental Doha Clinic was the problem. Because fillings almost touching the nerves. As such, I got pain and sometimes severe pain. I was pleasantly surprised to hear her reliable diagnostics. As Dr Dominique from German Dental Clinic in Doha completely missed it and he was planning to make a crown in the 2nd last tooth as he thought that was the problem. Terrible clinics in Doha !! In the end, Dr. Beqa extracted my last tooth as that seemed the best way forward as that tooth was damaged and not much of use. And the pain was there for so long. Dr. Beqa was great and a true expert surgeon. He took off my tooth without any pain and stitched the hole so no bleeding. So far only two days past and I am feeling relieved. Also, both Dr. Nino and Dr. Beqa gave their phone numbers and we contacted them a couple of times. Dr. Beqa called to see how I was feeling. I now decided to come back to Tbilisi and treat my teeth issues in the future. As I have no trust in those German and British clinics in Doha. They are TERRIBLE. To be honest, I was so happy that I sent two packages of plants and cakes to both Dr. Nino and Dr. Beqa. :)

Exorbitant price (340 larris for 3 fillings). They asked for 700 larris for scaling and gum treatment (half the price elsewhere). When it came time to pay, the dental assistant tore up the bill. Not recommended...
