Very rude and unprofessional. Stay away
I went in for scaling and initial consultation. While filling out their forms at reception area I overheard rude conversation of a girl on the phone and a client. He was having some sort of problem with implant.
Later, I was introduced to another doctor (not advertised doctor Irma Galvador) and told that he saw my Xray knows what to do. After he left and his assistant (?) proceeded telling me that I need !!deep!! cleaning (I've done my cleaning 3 months ago) and quoted me $300 for it versus advertised $60.
Later on receptionist brought a quote and turned out implant would be ~$2,000 USD.
Considering cost of trip to Mexico (2 visits minimum) I told them I needed to think.
I got out chair and was ready to leave but was stopped by receptionist and informed that I need to pay $50 USD for consultation. At this point I knew I won't come back, paid and left.
Stay away from this place
Clinic response ():

Ocean Dental Cancun is an exceptional dental practice that I have had the pleasure of visiting twice for extensive dental work. The team at Ocean Dental is highly organized and professional, and their commitment to providing excellent service is truly impressive.
I must commend DR. Cindel for her exceptional talent, patience, and dedication to delivering outstanding results. Her commitment to ensuring her patients' satisfaction is what compelled me to return for my second round of dental work. Additionally, Dr. Diego's expertise and talent are equally remarkable.
I highly recommend Ocean Dental Cancun to anyone looking for a top-notch dental experience. Sofia, who manages the front desk, is exceptional at keeping appointments organized and ensuring that patients are never late for their clinic appointments.
These folks are outstanding. I made an appointment to get crowns on my two front teeth. They did a full examination and determined that it pups not be a good idea as I have some underlying issues that need to be addressed first. They could have just did the job and took the money but they are true pros and made me feel comfortable the whole way. Highly recommended honest operation. Thanks!
(A review of my comments)
While It was a bit of a sketchy expérience,
Having dental work done at 10:pm, having 3 separate dentists work in me in the same procedure ( 1 dental implant)
In the end they got the work done on time !
On time for me to catch my flight back home, I’m re righting my review 5 years later because my implant has held up!
No chips broken off, still solid in place
Healed up super well..
Zero issues so far
I would Go back
I give 3
I got done, 3 bridges of 3 teeth, 2 molars root canal, and 13 crowns !!!
Yes, most people of your staff smile, but a few could work on it, really.
( mostly some of the dentist assistants ) Dentist and receptionist are great.
Yes, patient seems to be happy, in general, of their experience. Mostly people going for all implants ( that i talked to ), which i was considering.
At my first appointment, i met with two dentist. They recommended, since i had good roots, that i go for bridges, crowns, and roots canal. And i felt i had to decide with that little info.
NOBODY ever told me what it would imply to get so many crowns and bridges, at all !!!
It's been over 3.5 months and i still have unpleasant feeling when eating or drinking cold or hot !! I can chew only where i got the root canal.
Nobody said anything about that, to help me take my decision.
I was told that it would take time to get use to my two upper front bridges. Nobody explained me why !
I had to go to my dentist office in Alberta, where i've learned that, no, there is no gap between teeth. So saliva and air can't go through, so this is why my tongue needs to adapt.
And i've also learned that, yes it will take time to heal. Some may take more time. And some may never heal, so i may need root canal. Also i use to eat red grapes and Gala apple almost every day. Now it creates a sour effect in my mouth. Nobody told me the potential of having all those treatments in 2 weeks.
I was clear at the beginning that i was there for two weeks. Fortunately i had planned an extra week to relax.
In that third week, i had to go three times and sit on the chair.
My two upper front bridges had to be redone twice plus a third time for polish. Also a single crown had to be redone twice.
I'm a bit surprise ! I thought you had the right equipment and the proper formed staff.
I am convinced that running your business, with so many customers and staff, must be a heck of a challenge.
And again, i believe that most patient are happy.
But i also believe that your plate may be too full. And caught in the game of; '' thirst for money''. And that may prevent the clinic from offering a 'service with better considerations.
Is it possible that the clinic had to fill the schedule of the dentist that did the job on me ?? If yes, that means that the clinic didn't have MY interest at hearth when i had such a short time to take my decision.
I know the dentists that worked on me did an overall good job. But i believe it could have been easily a better experience.
So that's it. I give time to heal, and future will tell.

Okay, no one likes going to the dentist but....this was the least painful dental experience for my husband and I in so many ways!
Our xrays and check up were free!
We saw a specialist for crowns, one for a bridge and another for root canals. My first root canal and it was virtually painless. The dentist even kept telling me to close my mouth to rest it when he was not doing work inside my mouth.
The cost was about 1/3 of what we would have paid in Calgary.
The customer service was incredible from being picked up at the airport and then transported back and forth to the office from our hotel to the fact that they did everything in the power to make sure that all of our work was done in 2 1/2 days as we were taking off to the island after that for our holiday.
Their office was clean, staff were professional, technology was up to date and sometimes surpassed what we have at home.
The follow up once we got home was great. They kept calling until they made contact with me to make sure we were happy with the results of their work.
Yes, you have to realize that you may have to wait in the waiting room for a while for your appointment, so come prepared with your iphone or a book and relax...you are on holiday.
Yes, you may not always get the same dentist or specialist, so you need to be open to that but they are all well trained and competent. And at all times there was someone in the room with us that spoke English.
And, my temporaries which I had on a total of less than 24 hours, were beautiful! But the final product...outstanding.
So 16 crowns (my mouth was a mess with decay), 1 root canal and three fillings for me.
My husband got a two crowns, a root canal, a bridge, deep scaling and teeth whitening
We are super happy with the results and will continue to use them as our main dentist. We get to go on vacation and go to the dentist each year now. So now, I actually like going to the dentist!
English-speaking staff, reasonable prices. They did a temporary filling for 600 pesos. At the neighboring clinic in Flamingo Mall, they scammed me out of $100 and it fell out within an hour.

I am on vacation in Cancun for 7 days and on day 1 I had one of my porcelain veneers come off. It just popped off and left me with a big missing tooth in front! As you can imagine I was very upset as I planned on taking lots of pictures and smiling during my vacation! Concerned that I was in another country I had little hope that I was going to find someone that could help me. I began to google dentists in Cancun and came across Ocean Dental in Cancun and saw their excellent reviews! Since I still had the veneer that popped off I was hoping I could get in and have them re-bond the veneer as a temporary fix until I return to USA.
I sent a text to their emergency service line as it was noon on Sunday, I honestly did not expect to hear back until Monday. To my surprise I immediately got a response and explained my situation. Andy who was excellent, set up a same day appointment for me on that Sunday at 5pm, WOW, off to a great start! I arrived for my appointment and was treated by Andy who was super cool and made me feel very comfortable in an uncomfortable situation! I don’t like going to my dentist for a regular cleaning so imagine going to a dentist in another country while on vacation and to fix a missing tooth, I was nervous! But Andy was so nice and kept explaining everything to me that he put me at ease!
They got me in and we’re able to do some work to not only bond the partially broken veneer but also secure it with some Cement in the back of my tooth so that it would be more permanent than temporary. The dentist was very gentle and I was never in any pain at all. Also the dentist mostly spoke Spanish but the entire time Andy would translate and tell me what he was going next, this really made me feel better! My own dentist doesn’t even explain to me
What he is doing!!! They continue to make sure I was happy with the final feel of the tooth grinding down any rough spots so it felt smooth and like New! Just amazing service! Then we walked down to pay and I was amazed at the price, they charged me 1/4 what I expected to pay! A vacationer, tourist, needing emergency dental care in Mexico and you woud think one might take advantage of the situation, but not Ocean Dental Cancun, they were honest and fair and offered an amazing price! Then if that was not enough when the service was complete, Andy even offered to drive me and my wife back to our hotel, incredible service!
This place is so good, service is so awesome that I am strongly considering setting up an appointment to come back and have all of my old veneers (20 years old) replaced by them!
Excellent experience and I can’t say enough about how great they were! Thank you Ocean Dental Cancún!!! I wish we had dentists like you in America!!!

My husband and I had a good experience here. It was obvious they cared. You need to be realistic about wait times as there are many patients being seen and you will most likely not be seen on time. Bring a book.
My husband is happy with his fillings. I had 3 crowns done and other than needing to floss extra b/c of the space in between, for the price, they are well done. They also LOOK flawless.
