Despite my hesitations, I lost two healthy teeth as a result of the recommended treatment, and after 24 months, I experienced great disappointment. Nurcan and Atakan were unwavering in their care from the first day I visited their office until the end of the treatment. My treatment was completed on time and in the manner they promised. There was never a moment during the entire process that I was not satisfied. I was always able to contact them with any questions. They performed non-extraction orthodontic treatment on teeth that other doctors had told me could be corrected by extraction. Nurcan and Atakan, as well as everyone else on their team, were equally kind and attentive. As a result of 4 years of treatment: * A healthy tooth was extracted. * All my front teeth were filed down and reduced in size. * My right teeth don't press down properly, and I can't chew due to sensitivity. * My lower front teeth were worn down due to malocclusion, and my enamel is showing. * My midline was shifted even further instead of being corrected. I had my second orthodontic treatment here. My midline had shifted two millimeters to the left, and my teeth had ended up slightly protruding. Atakan explained everything in detail, saying that this was my second treatment and there was no chance of making a mistake, and convinced me. It's a friendly and warm establishment. A treatment plan was envisioned that would not result in tooth loss and would last 1 to 1.5 years. During treatment, a root canal was extracted because it was deemed necessary, all my front teeth were filed down, and one of my chewing teeth was left tilted at a 45-degree angle. Because of this, I can't chew with my right side, and my right teeth don't press down properly. The pandemic started in the first year of my treatment, and I moved to England. For three years, I traveled from England for every appointment. I patiently endured the day-to-day visits, believing the treatment would yield positive results. From the second year of treatment onwards, I was told at each subsequent appointment that the braces would be removed. However, being told the same thing again in the 3.5th year of treatment was the last straw. Before the treatment began, Atakan had explained in detail what would be done. But later I realized that he was describing a different method and applying different techniques at each appointment. Unfortunately, it took me a long time to understand that the treatment was not based on a plan, but on the situation at the time. Towards the end of the treatment, I reminded him that he was planning an implant behind my crooked tooth. At first, he said he hadn't mentioned anything like that, that the tooth would naturally shift back and create a gap between itself and the other teeth, as if it were normal. Then he said that a small implant could prevent that shifting, but that the implant should be placed as close as possible. I conveyed this to my doctor. Although my doctor suggested that this wasn't logical and that the tooth should be opened again and placed in front of the implant, not behind it, I believed the treatment was almost complete and went ahead with what Atakan suggested. This time, after the implant was placed, Atakan said the implant should be filed down so that the crooked tooth could be brought closer to the implant, correcting the midline misalignment. So, another unplanned and disorganized procedure. This should have been considered from the beginning, and the implants should have been placed spaced apart. Their follow-up of the treatment process, planning, and mastery of their work are at the lowest level. I spent four years, half of my 30s, with braces and even elastics. Not only could they not correct the two-millimeter misalignment in my upper front teeth, but they also shifted my lower teeth to the left. It's impossible to describe the extent of the damage this whole process caused: my health, time, money, aesthetics, and psychological well-being suffered greatly.
