Lovely staff very caring .When we usually take our little dog to the vets he stresses out and won't sit still ,he was very well behaved, atmosphere is warm and caring .

This clinic has been the only vet we go to since we came here. They helped our staffie since he was a pup when he got mange then when he got overheated and microwaved his insides and helped him through his cancer and on his death treated him with great respect. 13 yrs later when we decided to try another pet they have been marvelous in our mini dacshund's health and care. Any problem they will see asap. Be aware though that unlike us we didn't know they have after hours service. She was poisoned by a cane toad and as we didn't know of this service had to for just one time go to another. But our vet kept up her treatment. They adore her and she them. Thank you High Street Vet Clinic for all the years of wonderful care, love and service of our kids.

💔 Review for High Street Vets, Rockhampton 💔 I will never bring another beloved animal to this clinic again. They were unprofessional and rough. Our beautiful little Pomeranian, Roxy — only five years old — went in for what was meant to be a quick check under her tongue. She was happy, healthy, and full of life before that visit. They said they’d just lightly sedate her… but when I was finally allowed to see her, she was gasping for air, terrified, and could barely breathe 😭💔. They told me “these things just happen” and called it a “tracheal collapse,” but what I saw looked far more like traumatic injury — her windpipe had been damaged while in their care. I had to sit with her, hold her, and watch her struggle until she passed 😭💔. It was absolutely devastating — something I’ll never get over. Then I had to go home and tell my daughter, who had loved Roxy since she was nine years old, that she was gone 💔. To make it even worse, they charged me over over thousands of dollars for what was supposed to be a simple, minor procedure. No apology. No accountability. No compassion. Just excuses. After reading other reviews, it’s clear we’re not the only ones who’ve experienced this kind of heartbreak here 😢. What happened to Roxy was completely unacceptable, and I hope this clinic truly reflects on how they treat the animals entrusted to their care. RIP our beautiful girl 🐾🌈 We’ll never forget you, Roxy 💔😭

Kind and caring team whom always have your furry loved ones best interests at heart. They have vaccination discounts on Tuesdays and work well with reactive animals. However I would like to see more options for birds, reptiles and fish :)

Today, I had to say goodbye to my first pet, a beloved family member. This was my first experience with euthanasia, and while I was prepared for the heartbreak, I didn’t expect the lack of compassion from the veterinarian. As we were setting up in the back, the vet approached us—not to offer comfort, but to lecture us about not bringing our dog in sooner. Just a week ago, she was full of life, but in a short time, we were faced with the devastating decision to put her down due to a very aggressive cancer. Instead of support, the vet’s words were harsh and insensitive, questioning our timing and even saying, “How would you feel if it was you?” In one of the hardest moments of our lives, the vet chose to pass judgment on our decisions for our own pet. There is a time and place to discuss care decisions—right before we said goodbye was neither. It felt disrespectful and dismissive. I came to say farewell to my first best friend, and instead, we left feeling judged and hurt. I would never return here and can’t, in good conscience, recommend this place to anyone.

Great staff, happy to talk to the kids about what was happening, clean premises too. Went back with my daughter and her new dog, quick and easy visit. Thanks to Breanna for giving my daughter some hints and tips while we were waiting.

Awesome vet always take care of my girls. I have been coming to high street for a number of years. Always been looked after with each dog. All the staff I have come across have always been supportive, patient and happy. The cheerfulness and respectful manner even when people have difficult decisions.

My dog Giorgio and I both had a fantastic experience, and I was (pleasantly!) shocked by the cost of our visit, much cheaper than any vet we saw in Melbourne! Can’t recommend these guys highly enough, truly a wonderful and caring team.
