Holiday disaster averted! Travelling on a six month road trip from Melb l was devastated when l broke a crown in Hervey Bay. I have a history of severe dental phobia and go to a specialist sleep dentist in Melbourne. Considering flying home to have treatment, l decided to first see Dr Felipe for a consultation. I felt so confident in his quiet encouraging gentle manner that l had the work done there. It was by far my most positive dental experience and l highly recommend this practice for any work you need. Now l think l’ll be flying from Melb to Hervey Bay just to keep my dental appointments! Thankyou Dr Felipe

Please stay away from this dental surgery. I had a crown done by the owner, DR SHUBHA SUVARANA, since then I've had several gum Infections at this tooth and needed antibiotics, I have one currently. I've seen 2 separate dental practices since then tell me the crown needs to be replaced as it is not recessed under the gum properly causing food under and in my gum, one dentist said it's just dodgy. I've reached out to the Hervey Bay dental and spoke to the manager who said she'd ring me back and get it sorted, but she didn't ring back. I've rang back twice since to be told the manager was busy, I left a message and she was ringing me back but she hasn't and neither has the owner, I've been completely ghosted and $1600 out of pocket. My tooth was better before I came here. As you can see the owner is saying another dentist did it, another dentist did start but but she quit and didn't prep my tooth correctly so the owner DR SHUBBA SUVARANA took the job over. She came from Maryborough dental as they own that also especially to do my tooth. She Re prepped the tooth and installed a post, she then scanned the tooth for the New Crown and had it glued on when the crown arrived... As said I've rang 3 times and have been totally ignored, they haven't even asked me to come in for a look. Asking me to come in on their reply here now but not actually calling me to fix the problem or acknowledging they've ghosted me is disgusting, I've tried contacting you. Even if another dentist did it as you claim, that's it folks, no warranty or looking after your customers, the owner just told you all that pretty well... I just want my money back Raj. Travis

Dr. Shubha was not your original treating dentist. Your treatment, including the crown preparation and related work, was carried out by Dr. Madiha, who has since left the practice. Unfortunately, the case remained incomplete when she departed, even though payment for the crown had already been made to her. Dr. Shubha only became involved later, to assist in fitting the crown that Dr. Madiha had ordered. However, upon review, it was found that there were issues with the earlier treatment — including caries that had not been fully addressed — which required further cleaning, post placement upon your request, and a new crown needed to be ordered. These were necessary steps to ensure the long-term success of your treatment. It’s important to note that Dr. Shubha did not prepare your tooth, did not charge you for the crown, and was not the dentist who inserted the final crown. Her involvement was limited to helping resolve the issues left from the previous treatment. We understand your frustration, but it would be unfair to attribute the entire outcome to Dr. Shubha, as she was not responsible for the initial work. Both Dr. Madiha (your original treating dentist) and the dentist who inserted the crown played key roles in your case. Neither Dr. Madiha nor Dr. Shubha is currently associated with our clinic. Our present dentist, Dr. Felipe, has been with us for several years and is known for his excellent work and patient care, as reflected in our recent reviews. If you would like, we can share Dr. Madiha’s contact details so that you may directly discuss the matter with her for further resolution. Thank you Dr Felipe! I'm sooo happy with my experience at Hervey bay Dental. I had alot of work that needed doing but nothing was to much trouble. Amazing staff and absolutely pain free, didn't feel a thing. My new dentures fit perfectly and are unbelievably comfortable. Thank you for making me feel comfortable enough to give dentures ago. On a side note, I had to withdraw from my super to cover costs and the practice was great in helping me with that also. Again thank you soooo much! I could not be happier!
