Four years on and we’re still so grateful to have the Dental Pod team caring for our family’s dental needs. A special thank you to Dr Matt Clougher, who has been absolutely wonderful with our AudHD and ADHD children. He makes them feel calm, heard and empowered to take charge of their own dental health. Visited the dental pod last week for an appointment after hearing good things about their approach to dentistry. It was a very first visit to the dentist for my 11 month old son and my first visit in 6 years to a dentist. They made us all feel very comfortable, a fantastic experience really given I am usually very nervous at the dentist. I feel that the team at dental pod actually care about preserving teeth and clients oral health, which should be at the forefront of dentistry, but sadly I have been recommended unnecessary work many times in the past at other dentists. I was over the moon to find out I didn't need any fillings, and they kindly squeezed my husband into the appointment to clean some calcified plaque which made the visit economical for us. We will absolutely be coming here for our family dentistry appointments from now onwards, finally a dentist I can trust! Thank you 🙏🏼

Dr Clougher and his team are some of the most vigilant and personable people in the industry. I had a complicated procedure that required a visit to the periodontist. Dr Clougher met me there (on his day off!!!) to observe the work and would eventually complete the final steps to the highest of standards. I was incredibly anxious with the work to be done and am relieved to say that my smile looks just as good as ever & full functionality has been restored to my front tooth. The best thorough teeth cleaning I've experienced in Tasmania. Dr Clougher annihilates the reoccurring plaque accumulation on the inside of my front lower tooth with a drill(?) and numbing agent beforehand. Other dentists never tackle this and I'm left feeling that rough plaque via the tip of my tongue. It's great to have it finally removed as brushing doesn't prevent this build up. Thanks Dr Clougher.

It's been nearly 18 months since I had a filling done at the dental pod, and unfortunately, I've been unable to chew on the right side of my mouth ever since. The pain on the filled tooth is intense, making it impossible to eat and floss without horrendous pain. A few months after the filling, I reached out to the practice, after hoping the issue would resolve itself, but it never did. During the appointment to check the filling, it was discovered that the filling was uneven and had to be filed down. I had hoped this would alleviate the severe pain while chewing, but unfortunately, I'm still experiencing it almost 18 months later. To my disappointment, I was charged for the appointment where the filling was corrected, which I had assumed would be done at no cost to me. I am devastated to not be able to chew on one side of my mouth at 30, and dread the future costs to relieve some of the pain.

Dr Matthew Clougher was excellent! I was squeezed in as a last minute Christmas debacle having sheered off part of my tooth on a nut the night before and now I'm feeling great again. With limited staff he whipped into action, fixed my tooth, and sent me on my way. Now being one of those people that is petrified of dentists I can not say enough good things. It certainly pays for skills and experience in the world of dentistry and I pass my kudos on to him directly. We are now as a family booked in based solely off that one experience! Don't be slow, book in and see the team.

I feel really fortunate to have found Dr Matthew Clougher at Dental Pod in Hobart –the best dentist in town in my opinion! His high level of expertise was evident from my first visit. He genuinely cares so much about his patients which comes across immediately and is perfect for someone like me who gets a little anxious at the dentist.
