We take all our patients reviews seriously and are deeply concerned to hear that your recovery was unpleasant. We always strive to provide the best possible care for all of our patients. We would like to take this opportunity to clarify that a post-extraction dry socket is a complication that occurs due to multiple reasons, the most common being the lack of proper blood clot formation or dislodgement from the bony socket. It is a common occurrence with smokers and vapers. When you called, stating the complication, you were seen immediately to address the issue. The best way to prevent a dry socket is to follow the verbal and written instructions that are given to all patients after any surgical procedure and to provide diligent home care.
