Team Dental’s story began in 1997 when dentist Brett Marshall opened a 7-day practice in Tauranga. Since then, we’ve built a large (and still growing) group of practices throughout New Zealand. Our company is well structured, and our profits stay within New Zealand. With good down to earth kiwi ingenuity, better buying power and shared processes, our dental practices are structured in an affordable way and we pass these savings onto our patients. We’re always on the lookout for talent and we offer exciting career paths plus the opportunity to have equity in our dental practices. “While my main focus is on growing the Team Dental brand, I continue to enjoy practising dentistry, covering for dentists across our group of practices.” I graduated from Otago in 1983, and captured by triathlon which was taking off at the time, I became a full-time athlete, representing New Zealand many times. Triathlon taught me a lot about balance which has served me well throughout my life.While I was an athlete I was also practicing dentistry part-time in Remuera, Auckland.  I had my first taste of setting up practices in Ponsonby and Henderson during this time.I met my wife Angela in the mid 1990’s and we moved to Tauranga to start our family and fully focus on dentistry. 1997 saw the opening of our first Team Dental practice at 2nd Avenue and the rest is history!Outside of work I lead an active life, enjoying running, swimming, surfing, fishing and hunting with friends and family. I hold an MBA from the University of Otago and an undergraduate degree from Massey University. My career has focused on building high performing teams and delivering strong operational outcomes within healthcare environments.
