I visited the office hoping to avoid a root canal on a tooth that needed to be urgently repaired, but instead I was subjected to unnecessary procedures that significantly increased the cost of the treatment and a deposit that was delayed over time. --- Short story: On the first call, the assistant told me that the examination would cost 40 leva, but on the spot they charged me 60. I was forced to have the tartar removed first, without even discussing the real problem with my tooth. The next procedure was scheduled for a full two weeks in advance, even though my tooth was turning black and hurting. After I insisted on an earlier appointment, they diagnosed pulpitis and gave me a verbal treatment plan, requiring a deposit of 80 leva. With each of my visits, this deposit was postponed until the next time. During the visit, which was supposed to fill the canals, it turned out that the nerves had not been removed last time, but only found and they were only going to remove them now. This cost me an additional 3 hours and 70 lv on top of that. During the procedure, the assistant was often absent, the instruments and the suction tube fell to the ground, and some of the endodontic needles were bent, but prepared for work by the assistant. The cup overflowed when my procedure was canceled two times in a row at the last minute. --- 1. It is illogical how when booking an appointment over the phone one price is mentioned, and on site it has jumped by 20 lv. There are apparently two price lists for the same service. One for Argirova and a second for the assistant. 2. It is illogical to be told that the tartar must be removed before anything is done (exact words), and the next hour, when asked by the assistant "Why, if the tooth is so bad, did we clean the tartar?" Argirova's answer was "That's probably what the patient asked for." Later, I saw that it wasn't even cleaned well. 3. It is illogical to have to pay an extra 70 lv for something that should have been included in the price, with a pre-agreed price of 285 lv for nerve removal. Even if the tooth is complex (as Argirova put it), the price is calculated by the number of canals. If the dentist has decided to remove the nerves manually and keeps an inadequate employee who is more likely to get in the way, it is normal for there to be a delay and not enough time. The question is why should I have to pay for this? Is "finding nerves" a procedure at all and why was I spared it earlier?
