I am thrilled with the results of my dental treatment, and I owe a huge thanks to Dr. Ben. Three years ago, my teeth were in such a state that I was self-conscious about showing them. The gaps were increasing daily, and I was unsure about the best course of action. After undergoing Invisalign treatment, I had my implants done by a different dentist, but Dr. Ben was instrumental throughout the process. Dr Tai recommended Invisalign to our then 8 year old child who was very anxious about dental care. Did not advise Invisalgn requires moulds to be taken out and put back in to eat prior to payment of the deposit. Why would you recommend a product which is so hands on intensive to a child who doesn't like anyone going anywhere near her teeth! Our child even needed the use of the therapy dog to allow Dr Tai to inspect and take images of her teeth because she got so visibly upset at her first visit to the clinic. And we are not the only ones who this has happened to. Extremely poor service with a complaint now at hand with the Ombudsman.

Ben started off great, explained everything in detail that my daughter needed to have done. However, for the $10,000 we paid upfront, plus $2000 for removal of wisdom teeth at a different dentist, I expected better service. *We were late to one appointment by 10 minutes, he was angry and we almost didn't get seen, however every single other appointment we had to wait a minimum of 20 minutes. *When her treatment was almost done, he said she needs jaw surgery - this had never been mentioned previously, and my husband and I both separately said no (over 3 different appointments). When he finally realised we were not going to change our minds, he made us sign a waiver to say treatment had not been completed and removing the braces was our decision. *My daughter went to pick up her retainer with her grandma, she was so scared to take the retainer out while she was practicing in front of him in case she broke it, that she fainted. *The way Ben spoke to my daughter was rude, he told her that her face was not symmetrical and made her paranoid of her looks, and because he was not happy that 'we ended the treatment' when her braces finally came off, she did not get her 'wow' moment that I hoped. Instead she was worried her teeth didn't look right, and 6 months later is still not as happy as she should be. *We went in yesterday for her 6 month post removal check up and to get a new retainer - waited 45 minutes with another lady and her daughter who arrived at the same time. He finally finished with his patient, then asked who arrived first. He took the other people through, and didn't even acknowledge my daughter and I: clearly he had double booked. I called our general dentist and they can make retainers, so we left. I received a text 35 minutes later, saying he didn't see me and was running late. Very disappointed. If we had waited for our appointment, we would have sat there for almost 1.5 hours. I also drive 45 minutes each way to get to the appointments. The best thing for my daughter was the dog Bailey. Teenagers are fragile - be careful and considerate with what you say to them!

Was able to get my daughter in very quickly for an initial consultation. That's the only positive thing I can say. Extremely overpriced consultation, with only a set of exrays to show for it. He is rude with very little patience and has no idea how to treat a teen age girl. A year on my daughter still won't see another orthodontist .

I would not recommend this orthodontist to anyone, starts off great until u have the braces on and pay the money. I will admit we are happy with the end result however his manner towards my 12 year old daughter was unacceptable. He was abrupt rough and down right rude. For my daughter who suffers anxiety he never did anything to reassure her and would continue to be rough and very grumpy at her even when she had tears going down her face. Over charges and does unnecessary X-rays to charge more money. We will not ever go back and I’m sure my daughter be fear dentists well into the future.
