Australian Dental Clinic is a well-established Hanoi expat clinic operating since 2006 with a strong track record across implants, crowns, veneers, and cosmetic work at prices typically 1/6 to 1/10 of Western home costs. Named dentists appear consistently across genuine-reading reviews, WhatsApp booking and English coordination are reliable, and transparent pricing on the website removes common surprises. The brand name implies Australian ownership or qualifications that are not substantiated, and no JCI or ISO accreditation is documented.

Authenticity

7/10

Baseline 7: real clinic since 2006, named doctors, specific pricing, genuine varied reviews with negative examples. 0 verified on 246 pool is concern but content reads authentic. No deduction.

Treatment quality

7/10

Baseline 7: multiple complex cases praised (implants, 10+ crowns, root canals, veneers). One 3D scan mention. LED-as-laser mislabel is light embellishment. Night guard failure at 3 stars.

Cleanliness

7/10

Baseline 7: multiple reviewers cite modern, hygienic facilities; dedicated sterilization nurse mentioned on website; superior to UK experience per one reviewer. No JCI floor applies.

Team

7/10

Baseline 7: 5 named Vietnamese dentists, orthodontist Dr. Khanh, Australian nurse coordinator Amanda. No verifiable overseas qualifications. No Australian-licensed dentist despite brand name.

Price value

9/10

Baseline 9: transparent published price list, crowns $125-300, implants $700-1400, veneers $300-400. Reviewers cite 1/6 to 1/10 of home cost. Fixed pricing confirmed in reviews.

Tourist suitability

8/10

Baseline 8: WhatsApp booking, English staff, Australian nurse coordinator, emergency same-day slots, prices online, expat-focused since 2006. No airport transfer mentioned. Da Nang branch adds flexibility.

What comes up well

  • Transparent published price list: implants $700-1400, crowns $125-300, veneers $300-400
  • English-speaking staff plus Australian nurse coordinator Amanda for tourist liaison
  • WhatsApp booking with same-day emergency slots reported by multiple reviewers
  • Named doctors (Dr. Hoan, Dr. Nhung, Dr. Quy) cited by name across independent reviews
  • Established 2006 as first expat-focused clinic in Hanoi with Da Nang branch

Points to weigh

  • 0 verified reviews across 50 sampled from a 246-review pool - cannot confirm authenticity independently
  • Marketing claims LED whitening as laser - confirmed mislabeling noted by a patient reviewer
  • Brand name implies Australian ownership/qualifications but no Australian-licensed dentist is documented

This is my honest review of Australian Dental Clinic in Hanoi. To be truthful i was very afraid of visiting the dentist i havent visited one in 20+ years and the last time i did visit one they yanked my teeth out with a pair of plyers so definately not the best memories. years of neglect not brushing or flossing left my teeth in this really embarassing state now looking back at it and back in…

New Zealand where i come from dental is not cheap. Ive been living in vietnam for a while now and decided enough was enough im going to get my teeth fixed dreadding my visit and the amount it was going to cost me. I came in thinking i needed all my top teeth crowned or veneered and lord knows what else but the dentists didnt try to scam me or oversell me they told me what i could do to get the perfect smile which was a lot less then what i was expecting. 3 crowns, 2 fillings, deep clean and polish and whitening later (2 visits, 2 hours each visit so 4 hours total) i walked away with a smile that i couldnt believe. and only 25mil VND. i looked at other places and couldnt believe the price here. the dentists where friendly and caring always checking to make sure i was okay, i had 0 pain during the treatment and was well taken care of. i couldnt recommend Australian Dental Clinc more. definately worth a visit and your trust. Thank you very much to the team and i appreciate all the work youve done for me. James.

Been many times over the course of a decade. Last time I went, I was around the corner getting a health check where they found I had a cavity, so I just sent a message to Australian Dental telling them I'm coming. A few minutes wait and no appointment, and I was in the chair. Cavity was filled in like ten minutes and cost under $10. Fantastic place

I had to have an emergency crown as my tooth was so sore. I was recommended to go to this clinic. I can't praise them enough. From the greeting and professionalism at reception to my amazing and knowledgeable dentist and her caring support staff. My tooth was fixed and the crown inserted within 48 hours. Amazing service. My tooth feels so much better now. Thank you so much! I highly…

I DID NOT have good experience here. Here are some problems: - To do a crown, a dentist shaved a tooth of mine too much that touched the nerves. This should be considered a malpractice. He left it like that for days without giving me any warning while I was travelling to other provinces. This caused me tortureous pain for days on my vacation, especially when I drank something. I had to cut short…

my travel plan to return to Hanoi because I could not handle the pain. No pain reliever could ease the pain. Later on, another dentist had to perform a root canal on that tooth before putting a crown on.

I went to Australian Dental Clinic for an emergency, without an appointment. I was seen immediately, had a check-up with an X-ray, and received a prescription for antibiotics. We communicated using Google Translate. Everything went well, and I received helpful advice for the rest of my vacation. A big thank you for the professionalism and welcoming attitude of the dentists and the receptionist.…
