Armidale Dental Care is a family-owned dental clinic located at 138 Marsh Street, Armidale, New South Wales 2350, Australia. Founded by Harry Martin in 1986 and now led by his son Dr Samuel Martin, the practice brings nearly four decades of continuous service to the Armidale and New England community. Operating as a true second-generation family practice, Armidale Dental Care combines longstanding local trust with a specialisation in dental implants and a commitment to personalised, compassionate care for every patient.
Armidale Dental Care's defining quality is its generational continuity. Few regional dental practices can point to a near 40-year history under the same family, which translates into deep community roots, long-term patient relationships, and an intimate understanding of the needs of Armidale residents. Dr Samuel Martin maintains a hands-on, unhurried approach to patient care that patients consistently describe as welcoming and reassuring from the first appointment. The practice's specialisation in dental implants gives Armidale residents access to advanced restorative solutions without needing to travel to a major city. Same-day crowns further reduce the number of appointments required for restorative work, and emergency dental care is available for urgent cases. Online booking and extended Tuesday evening hours add practical convenience for working patients and families.
Dental implants are the clinic's primary specialty, offering permanent tooth replacement for patients with single or multiple missing teeth. Same-day crowns allow ceramic restorations to be completed in a single visit. General dentistry services include routine examinations, dental hygiene and professional cleaning, tooth-coloured fillings, root canal therapy, and tooth extractions. Cosmetic services cover porcelain and composite veneers, teeth whitening, and dentures. Emergency dentistry is available for acute dental pain, broken teeth, and other urgent concerns. The practice treats patients of all ages, with a particular reputation for putting nervous patients at ease throughout treatment.
The practice is led by Dr Samuel Martin, who continues the legacy established by his father Harry Martin in 1986. Dr Martin is known for his calm, professional chairside manner, with patient reviews frequently citing his ability to make anxious patients feel immediately comfortable. He is supported by a dedicated team of dental professionals committed to delivering high-quality care in a welcoming environment.
Armidale Dental Care is equipped with technology supporting same-day crown fabrication and modern implant dentistry. The practice applies contemporary techniques across its restorative and cosmetic services, using quality dental materials to ensure durable, natural-looking results.
The practice welcomes new patients and accepts online appointment bookings. Patients are encouraged to contact the clinic directly to discuss health fund coverage and payment options. The team is experienced in managing anxious patients and takes pride in thorough pre-treatment communication to ensure every patient feels informed and at ease.
Armidale Dental Care is located at 138 Marsh Street, Armidale NSW 2350, in the heart of the New England region of New South Wales. Opening hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm, and Tuesday 8:30am to 7:00pm. Armidale is the regional hub of the New England tablelands, servicing patients from Uralla, Guyra, Inverell, and across the broader New England area.

One of the best Dental practices I have ever been to. The staff were warm & friendly, with a back up call to see if I was ok. I had two extractions (painless) and would highly recommend them to everyone.

Not sure what happened with Fludders review. My experience was completely different. Sam is very patient focused and an excellent technical dentist. That's what you need in a dentist. He made sure my implant was perfectly aligned by adding some extra bone at no extra cost. in sydney that extra sliver of artificial bone costs $1500.

Had to get an infected molar removed, the team was super professional and caring and made sure I wasn't in any pain during the procedure. 5/5 would return

Strongly suggest a different dental practice in Armidale, dentists don't listen to clients and extracted teeth from lower jaw with zero pain relief offered or antibiotics as requested, returned a week and a half later still sore , WALKED OUT IN DISGUST. Wife also had terrible arrogant male Asian dentist and won't be returning to this joke of an establishment. Go here and you will regret it.

Dentist skills okay but I had some bad experiences. Arrived at 1.55 for 2 pm appointment on a cold and drizzling Armidale day to find clinic locked without any sign up or anything. Another patient and I went round the back looking for another way in. They were in a team meeting and the owner came out and said we could have sat in the chairs at the front and waited til 2. So weird. Was then booked in for multiple fillings after initial check up, but then they kept cancelling and rebooking me until I gave up and went elsewhere. The other dentist I visited checked my teeth and said those fillings were not necessary. Thankfully they kept cancelling, otherwise I would have spent a lot of money there getting my teeth drilled. **update** have since been to a second different dentist who also said I do not need fillings. What a scam. I have a mind to report them.

Been here 5 times and every single time all the staff and clinicians were incredibly warm and friendly. Had wisdoms taken out on 2 occasions in the chair and both times, woke up the next day with very minimal swellings and soreness

I have a pretty serious phobia and the whole team were so kind and diligent. I was treated with such kindness and professionalism. Thank you! I can't say how much I appreciate how you explained what you were doing, stepping me through, and your kindness during a time where I was feeling pretty stressed. Best dental experience I have had anywhere!
