Friendly customer service, clean place, easy to deal with, but so much people's smoking at the entrance areas, more than 7 people's standing at the entrance area and smoking, not very good for people's that had asthma.

I received a letter from Adelaide Dental Hospital stating I was eligible for a free dental check-up and encouraging me to claim it ASAP. I called in advance, booked my appointment, and took time out of my day to attend. I was seated in the chair, only to then be told I had to go home because my health care card had expired. This was never mentioned during booking, despite me providing my details over the phone. It is very easy for health services to check whether a health care card is active before confirming an appointment. Instead, I was allowed to attend, wait, and be seated before being turned away. I am an Aboriginal student and on Closing the Gap. I have attended this clinic several times in the past and have never once been told I could not be seen without an active health care card. I have also been on the waiting list for a long time. With all the time I have spent waiting and attending this appointment, I could have booked with another clinic instead of being turned away on the day. Additionally, my past appointments here were never properly completed. I attended for wisdom teeth removal and was told I would be contacted for a follow-up appointment, including regarding a mouth guard for nighttime teeth grinding. I was never contacted. It feels like I am being completely forgotten. I was previously under the DCP and should be eligible for free dental care until I am 21, so I do not understand why there is so much inconsistency around my eligibility. The communication and organisation here is extremely disappointing. Patients should not be led on, left on waiting lists for extended periods, and then turned away after already being seated. This process needs serious improvement.

I had my final wisdom tooth removed at the Oral and Maxillofacial Unit at Adelaide Dental Hospital, and I honestly couldnโ€™t fault the experience. I was very nervous going in, but the entire team went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and at ease from start to finish. The procedure itself was incredibly quick, and the oral surgeon was extremely professional and reassuring. Despite the long waitlists, the care and professionalism I received made it completely worth the wait. Iโ€™m very grateful to the whole team and would highly recommend them.

To visit is a major undertaking on a hot day. Parking is difficult and expensive. We travel by train and tram. However we have had to travel there 4 times i think and seem to be models for a training session. It isn't set up for efficient repair of problem teeth. My friend still does not have a tooth repaired after 4 visits, or is it 5 ? But she is having some false teeth measured up. So that does take some time.

I had one of the most horrific, unpleasant and unprofessional experience at the Adelaide dental. The dentist at the general practice ( Dr Chen I believe is he name, not sure he is an elderly Asian anyway). The whole visit he acted as if he was being bothered and me as a patient was an annoyance to him. His body language spoke loudly as he showed no care kept ignoring me after i attempted to let him know my concerns. I was in pain after he numb me only once and wanted to perform a root canal. He never offered to numb me again and just ignored everything I was saying. I couldnโ€™t for the life of me understand what he was saying, he proceeded to cancel all my following visits and put me back on the waiting list. This is appalling. We are humans being at the end of the day and we shouldnโ€™t be treated as if we are animals just for basic oral care. I was brought to tears.

Pretty disappointed, called in for my wisdom tooth as it has been giving me extreme pain, difficulty sleeping and eating (Swallowing, opening mouth, chewing) ear pain, jaw clicking. All sorts of stuff. They got me in for emergency care, I was under the impression they were going to remove it. But no. Gave me a cheap toothbrush and slapped me on a 2 year wait-list then sent me on my way. Safe to say I am extremely disappointed and now I'm not sure what to do as I'm in unbearable pain and can't afford to get them taken out privately. Thankyou Australia and SA Dental for not caring a single bit when it comes to this stuff.....

Went in for an emergency removal of a badly damaged, and extremely painful wisdom tooth and I was fairly nervous as it was my first ever extraction. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and it didn't take long before I was seen. (Great view in that waiting area on floor 11) The student dentist did an amazing job, talked me through the process and consulted with their teacher often which I found very reassuring. Procedure was quick and 99% painless but needles don't count. Great experience overall!
