I can’t rave highly enough about Dr Kylie. She is compassionate, transparent, super knowledgeable, no fuss dentist. We saw a very popular chain dentistry in the coast who used my child’s entire (very close to it) dental benefits and didn’t even complete treatment and traumatised him. Dr Kylie had a complex procedure done without traumatising my son (he actually asks to go back to the dentist now!) and was very reasonable transparent with her pricing. I just took my other son (9) for an extraction and he didn’t even know Dr Kylie had done it until after the procedure was completed and we showed him the tooth! We won’t go anywhere else now.

I brought my son here after a bad accident where he feel over and landed on his 4 front teeth and they went back up into his gums. This was a very traumatic experience for everyone involved. After seeing another dental surgeon and being told he needed to have surgery to have all 4 top teeth extracted, I was referred by a friend to Dr Kylie for a second opinion. Dr Kylie had an answer for every question I asked and went into great detail. She calmed me down and put my mind at ease. She did not jump to rush into any surgery that could cause my son or I any more physical or emotional distress and instead monitored him over a couple of week, confident that we would soon start to see the teeth come back out on their own. I am so glad I canceled the surgery and stayed with Dr Kylie as this is exactly what has now happened and my son’s teeth are starting to look like normal again. She has checked in and responded to me often and promptly. This has made the whole process far less stressful than it could have been. As a first time mother I felt distraught when I saw the first doctor but Dr Kylie has completely turned that around!! Thank to Dr Kylie and everyone at ABC Dentistry. We still have a long journey to go, but the teeth are coming down And not infected and looking good!!

In January 2023 my daughter (then almost 2 years old) had an incident at a playground whereby she suffered intrusions to one of her front top teeth and the smaller one beside it. My husband and I immediately called the nearest paediatric dentist we could find and landed ourselves in Kylie’s office. We were told that these two teeth would need to be surgically removed as a matter of urgency as there was a risk of infection and ankylosis (where the teeth would fuse to the bone in the healing process) and cause irreparable damage as she continued to grow up. I started crying and asking further questions. As my daughter was so young, it was not feasible to conduct an x ray to confirm whether the teeth had hit the bone or caused any damage to the forming adult teeth. Kylie told me on at least two occasions “it’s okay, it’s not cancer”. I told her, I know this seems trivial to you but she is not going to have these teeth until they grow back in like 4 years! I wanted to be sure I was making the right decision and that there were no alternatives available such as waiting and seeing. I paid a deposit for the private surgery and left the office. I went away and looked into this further and found that the best practice guidelines in Australia stipulate to wait and see and that the teeth would generally come down on their own within 6 months to a year. I booked an appointment with another dentist that same day for a second opinion. I did not tell them that I had already seen Kylie. He conducted a thorough inspection of my daughters mouth, was so lovely and kind, and said after some time “so the good news is we don’t have to do anything, the teeth will likely come down on their own”. He sited the best practices in Australia which I had found on my own. I was relieved and felt reassured. I emailed Kylie’s office to cancel the surgery as I was working a dentist more local to me. They emailed back to reiterate their position and once again recommend the surgery. They then had the audacity (and I’m not sure this is even legal) to locate the dentist that I got the second opinion from. Did they do this through Medicare? I’m not sure but it was an overstep I believe. My daughter is now 3.5 years old, both of those teeth have come down, there was no infection, there was no ankylosis. She has had regular check ups each 6 months and they are happy with everything. Imagine I had gone ahead and got them removed. To top it off, as I was leaving their office, they showed me a photo of a little boy the same age as my daughter who that same day had the same type of intrusion occur after hitting his mouth on a bed frame. Privacy breach? They basically laughed and said “see this happens every day”. I assume they would have also recommended removal of this boys tooth/teeth. I wonder if the mother went ahead with it. The whole ordeal was dealt with so unprofessionally.

Dr Kylie is very professional in treating the little ones teeth. And both of our boys were quoted $10,000 for the treatments in other place, but Dr Kylie explained and simplify the treatments, easily saved us a lot and the boys were easily managed during the procedure. The reception lady is very nice and helpful with our inquiry from the start. Highly recommend to everyone!

From the very first phone call we felt heard and cared for. Dr Kylie and her team took time to listen to our story before we had even met them and promptly made arrangements for my son’s treatment. We felt reassured and supported throughout the process and during the procedure. My son is a nervous patient but Dr Kylie’s confidence and patience got him over the line. Thank you so much.
