I advised my mother to take my sister to this clinic for braces treatment, since my boyfriend and a friend had had braces fitted there and everything had gone well, and I myself had some teeth fixed and cleanings done there and never had any problems. When, last year, around July, my mother took my sister for treatment, they informed her that they would first have to perform several procedures (which all together came to around $1000) because of poorly treated cavities from the past. Initially, my sister was seen by Dr. Hugo, who is an excellent doctor, but his hours are only on Thursdays, so now, towards the end of the treatment, my mother could no longer attend on Thursdays and changed doctors. What I am about to report is that after 7 months of treatment and over $1000 invested, on March 3rd my mother and sister were ready to have the braces fitted. When they arrived, they said they wouldn't put them on because the general practitioner wanted to review the case to make sure everything was alright for the fitting. As you can imagine, my sister left crying because she didn't get the braces, which made my mother unhappy to see her daughter like that. She made a small comment: "If they already knew they weren't going to put them on, they couldn't have contacted me by phone, so I wouldn't have missed work or my daughter would have missed school, only to come here and have nothing done." They then scheduled the next appointment for March 10th with the general practitioner, and she had to pay a $20 deposit to avoid missing the next appointment (which never happened; my mother never missed or cancelled appointments). Finally, my mother asked for her deposit back, but they always responded with a dismissive tone. I don't know what the clinic will do about it, but I'm leaving my opinion here that more than $1000 was invested, and then they refused to do the rest without giving any explanations... the only thing they owe us is explanations... I've been a patient at this clinic for almost two years now, ever since I decided to get braces, and I have absolutely no complaints. This clinic is all nice until you pay for the braces. After you get the braces, it's a clinic that rips you off, making them more expensive than at any other clinic. Besides paying for maintenance, they spend the treatment time forcing patients to pay for X-rays and cleanings, which isn't mentioned in the initial process. My experience has been terrible, and most of the doctors are interns without practical experience. I had 3 teeth restored at the dentist, and after 1 year the teeth broke. They don't take responsibility and still want me to pay for a bad service twice. The patient has no rights, doesn't control their money, just has to pay, and they don't resolve things. Now I want to get the braces off permanently because my mouth is getting damaged by the braces that ruined my whole mouth, and they want me to pay for 2 appointments, which is a disgrace. In addition, I had a contract with CM Bolhao, and now I'm at a clinic that bought the other one, Smilemor, which I already knew and was never highly recommended. PS: Well, they responded to the criticism before solving the problem, because the problem isn't solved and, from what I can see, the customer only has the right to pay and doesn't have the right to do what they want.

I was waiting for 50 minutes for the doctor to see me although I had an appointment for a certain time. Every time I asked the manager told me that the doctor is doing some procedure and she can't tell how much more time he needs. I believe it is disrespect to my own time and badly organized processes. Why the doctor didn't tell the manager that there is some operation and he can't see me in the first place? Or why can't he inform the manager how much more time he needs? I'm okay to wait for some time, that is totally fine but not 1 hour! I have other stuff to do instead of sitting and waiting for the clinic to close until tomorrow.
