Dear Management! I would like to make an official complaint about Dr. Ágnes Csongrádi, a dentist. In November 2025, the doctor performed a root canal treatment on me, worth nearly 150,000 HUF, because I had a problem with one of my teeth. After the treatment, the tooth sensitivity did not go away, so I returned to the office yesterday because I experienced pain when brushing my teeth and when I put pressure on it. During the examination, the doctor behaved in an extremely hurtful and humiliating manner towards me. In the presence of the assistant, she angrily complained about why I went back, and also complained that the customer service had booked a longer appointment for me, and also made the comment that “I am taking the appointment away from paying patients”. When I indicated that the treated tooth hurt when pressed, I was literally told: “Then don’t press it”. I definitely ask for this tone and attitude. I find it humiliating and unacceptable for a healthcare professional to speak to a patient in this style, especially in light of the fact that I paid a significant amount for the treatment. I also note that the doctor only uploaded my treatment data to the EESZT system after I repeatedly requested it. I kindly ask you to investigate my complaint and find a solution to my ongoing toothache as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for your response and action.

In spring 2025, I underwent a full-mouth restoration at Medicover Clinic in Budapest. It was a major decision for me, and I spent a great deal of time researching clinics across Europe, using tools like Perplexity, ChatGPT, and Gemini. I had shortlisted three clinics and contacted two of them first — but their replies were quite general. What convinced me immediately to choose Medicover was the warm and professional response I received from Bence. I submitted my panoramic X-ray and full-mouth estimate from my Canadian dentist. To my surprise, within a couple of days — and over a weekend — I received a detailed treatment plan prepared by their dentist. The pricing was not only fair but more reasonable than I expected, and the level of communication reassured me that this was a clinic I could trust. The scope of my treatment was extensive: 28 crowns and one bridge, due to significant enamel erosion caused by many years of acid reflux. Fortunately, all the work was done using my own teeth as the foundation — I didn’t need implants or extractions. I should also add that I only looked for positive reviews online to build confidence and intentionally didn’t research too much about the actual procedures, which helped me avoid overthinking. The entire treatment took place over two weeks (14 working days), with breaks between appointments to allow time for rest and healing. Of course, there were many hours spent in the chair, and the procedure was more intense than I anticipated — but at the same time, I had no unrealistic expectations. Communication with the doctor was clear and in English. I especially appreciated the calm professionalism and unspoken kindness I felt from the staff, even in moments when we didn’t speak. In terms of accommodation, I chose to stay at the local apartment hotel recommended by the clinic. It was just a 15-minute walk from the clinic, in downtown Budapest near the Opera House. The apartment was clean, charming, and reasonably priced — a perfect fit for a longer stay. I enjoyed some quiet sightseeing and walking through the city when I felt up to it, which gave a nice balance to the trip. It’s now been two months since the procedure, and I’m happy to say that my healing continues smoothly. There have been no signs of inflammation or complications so far. I’ve been taking very good care of my teeth — brushing, cleaning thoroughly, and eating a mostly soft diet. I’m being cautious with what I eat and drink, but that’s not new for me; I’ve always tried to maintain good dental hygiene. Still, I take even more care now, as I feel a sense of responsibility toward this transformation and the investment I’ve made in my health.

After a cleaning, they recommended treatment for my decayed tooth. I had no complaints. After the filling, I felt the treated tooth was high, I went back twice to have it adjusted. After 2 weeks, I felt a sharp, shooting pain from my tooth to my ear, I went back again, they couldn't tell me what it was, they suspected another tooth. To be on the safe side, they filled it again, the pain subsided a little, but an inflammation appeared in my sinus, but in connection with this, they suspected another tooth, of course I had to undergo a CT X-ray for this. During the entire one and a half month process (ordeal), I was seen by 3 different doctors. Since in the end a specialist would only be able to see me after 2 weeks, and they still suspected a high tooth, I went to another place, where they did root canal treatment on the treated tooth, which unfortunately had clearly given in by now. It is impossible to know whether it was a medical error or a coincidence, but during the process I lost all trust in the place. A large company, whose employees are doctors, with the disadvantages typical of large companies (no proper communication and they also shift responsibility, the patient is a number most of all, noticeably). There are many good dentists in Hungary, if you can, you should skip this place.

Medicover Budapest was such a great experience. My wife had her teeth extracted in Bellingham, Washington USA and she was provided with temporary dentures that she could not use. They were a waste of two thousand dollars. She decided that she wanted 4 on 1 implants, but the cost of them in Bellingham was eighty thousand dollars, and out of our price range. After a lot of searching and worry, we decided Medicover would be our best shot. The help we received from Ben, our English as a first language liaison was nothing short of outstanding. Through WhatApp and email, everything was taken care of without any problems. He provided every single scrap of information required. Laurie’s oral surgeon, Dr. Adam Bodnar, was again, outstanding. He spent the time making sure Laurie knew exactly what he would provide. He also took the extra time to ensure she was pain-free and not in any emotional distress. What was so pleasing to me was that the only pain medicine other than during the implant procedure Laurie received was non-narcotic. The day after she received her last four implants, we walked six miles, and she was not in any amount of discomfort. Budapest in an extremely safe city. We spent twenty days during September and October. At no time, day or night did we feel unsafe. Ninety percent of the residence we encountered spoke English. If you or your loved ones need dental services, don’t hesitate, this is first class on a budget.

I would have no issue recommending the MDental clinic to anyone planning having dental work done aboard From my first communication with Bence Attila Csillag until the completion of all the required work 5 months later I have no problem saying his help was a massive positive He was always there to support and inform me on any matter that arose during this time With regard to my dentist Dr. Bodnár Ádám szájsebész He was very professional courteous and always informative explaining what was happening during every appointment The attention to detail that both gentlemen provided was exemplary and the monies expended by me for the treatment was money well spent The planned dental works are now satisfactorily completed without any issue whatsoever. Gentlemen. Thanks to you both. Paul.

I highly recommend this clinic. The staff is top-notch, the care is comprehensive and efficient, and the translator is excellent. The doctors are cutting-edge, the equipment is state-of-the-art, and the facilities are clean and modern. My relationship with the clinic is excellent. I had a problem with a prosthesis, and the warranty covered everything quickly and completely. I would go there without hesitation, and Budapest is a beautiful city.

I am an Australian who researched MDental Budapest thoroughly before engaging their dental services. My experience was super professional, Benece Csilag who was my point of contact through all my appointments went over and beyond to ensure I was comfortable, providing easy to follow instructions and a taxi to the airport. My Dentist Laura Zsofia is a highly professional caring and sensitive woman who explained each procedure. She was gentle, each procedure was essentially pain free and I say, highly trained. By the time I completed my appointments I left feeling I made a friend. Best dentist ever!!! MDental Clonic boasts a in house dental technician service designing and creating your crowns and implants - there is a glass wall where you can see the technicians working in this state of the art room. You just know when you step inside that “ I made the right choice coming here! The receptionist and the dental nurses must be mentioned - absolute professionals. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! My work included 21 zirconium crowns, 2 extractions and 2 implants. I won’t reveal what I paid, but in Australia I would have paid 3 x what I paid here. I now have my confidence back with my natural looking “ Hollywood Smile” From the first email I sent Benece requesting an opinion and quote- ( From Sydney I took picture of my mouth and teeth and they provided a estimate which was pretty accurate ) to the final appointment it was an absolute pleasure and experience to deal with world class fine dental practice. Well done. As Tina Turner sang, “ Your Simply The Best”

My first experience was 5 years ago and I returned this week to ‘review and re-Alinement’ Excellent service as usual all completed in 2 days. A new service is a ‘scan’ at a London clinic before your assessment. Thanks to Bence for all the arrangement and especially my Dentist: Adam. See you in another 5 years!
